Happy Easter everyone 🐣 here’s a mind body stretch workout to get us all moving💪

Join us for a deep stretch workout! FLEX is on Wednesdays on Zoom at 8 pm

Try this super-effective exercise to target all 3 of your abdominal muscle groups: your rectus abdominis (“six-pack”) on the curl up, your obliques (side abs) as you twist and your lower abs as you pedal your legs. The bicycle crunch or pilates criss cross is best done slowly to maintain stability & increase intensity. Do 1 rep per second with a tiny pause in the centre. 💪 Make sure you support your head rather than pulling on your neck and that your lower back doesn’t lift off the mat. Gently press your lower back into the mat if you feel this happening.

Here’s a 10 min stretch and conditioning workout to do on National Relaxation Day (15 August). Just 10 mins of stretching and breathing will energise you and set you up for the day! 💪🧘‍♀️

Longevity researchers agree that good physical balance can turn back the clock not only physically but functionally. It also helps prevent falls and injuries in our later years 💪 always warm up first and watch your technique.
