Celebrating my tiniest achievements this month. For

A few people have reached out for an update on my experience at the Gordon Smith & James Van Praagh mediumship weekend. Things have been really busy with little Tom & I needed a few days to process everything, so I haven’t replied yet 🙈 The short answer is, it was amazing!! 🌟🙌🏻🌟 The long answer is, I went in with very low confidence in my mediumship gift after a 2 year break (since having baby Tom).

Yes I know ‘me & low confidence’ doesn’t sound like me… but it happened, lack of practice can do that. Yes, every week I still see clients for healing & psychic readings but I hadn’t done any mediumship in almost 2 years & in the past I’d only done mediumship appointments when my energy was at its best. So with the exhaustion that comes from a darling child who doesn’t sleep particularly well I didn’t have high hopes. Oli witnessed my nerves on the Saturday morning, I was so nervous I didn’t even wanted to go.

But I channelled that nervousness into a beginner mindset (the best mindset for any training course) & just trusted that I wanted to be there, even if I fell flat on my face & learnt that I wasn’t in the right energy space for mediumship…

Well I’m happy to say, within the first few minutes of the meditation, I had tears running down my face because I knew I was in the right place! (& thankfully no one saw because everyone’s eyes were shut 🙏🏻). These two magnificent men were exactly who I needed & the connections came fast & clear & I learnt that even when I’m exhausted, my gift is still strong.

That night as I was falling asleep I even ‘heard’ one of the connections say ‘thank you’ out loud in the bedroom, which was very special. To explain for others, typically I receive messages inside my mind & body as feelings, sounds & images (like a mental projection or a vivid memory) but sometimes it’s in the room, as if it’s part of this reality (although this is less frequent). I also learnt that this happens to me more than is common even with these incredible mediums! So I feel very grateful to heaven for that beautiful gift because I didn’t even know it wasn’t a common gift!

Listening to Gordon & James I was struck by how hearing things that I knew but were spoken by someone I trust & admire, has a special resonance & I suspect it was for those precious moments the training was so important for me!!

I’m carrying on my mediumship training over the following year with Gordon’s online mentorship programme so that will be fun!! It hadn’t occurred to me that because I often feel & sense my loved ones in spirit around me, that I was still using my mediumship (just for myself), but I now I realise that all connection to heaven is just that, a gift, whether I’m receiving it for myself or others.

A very cool part of the weekend was meeting local mediums, I expected people from all over, & there were people from all over the world but I didn’t expect to meet neighbours who also live in Wokingham & towns nearby. I made some beautiful new friends ❤️ (maybe even start a little mediumship circle, who knows)xx
