🎨📸 Join us this Saturday for an inspiring afternoon as renowned artist Neville Gabie sits down with Peter Crump, Club Historian at Wolves Museum, to discuss Gabie's captivating series of photographs in the ‘Football: Designing the Beautiful Game Exhibition,’ "Posts."

🗓 Date: 27th July
🕑 Time: 2-3 PM
📍 Location: Wolverhampton Art Gallery

For the past 25 years, Gabie has captured the essence of football in a series of photographs that reflect our universal love for the game. These images, devoid of action, showcase goalposts in diverse settings, symbolizing our dreams, fantasies, and the unique spirit of each place. As Gabie beautifully puts it, ‘with minimal means these goalposts… encapsulate our dreams and fantasies, and the uniqueness of “place”, in the language which is universally understood.’

What is your favourite football memory?

We caught up with two former Premier League referees Jon Moss and Mike Dean to find out their favourite moments from the Beautiful Game after many years of refereeing at the highest level in the English Premier League.

With Jon refereeing 285 games in the top flight and Mike officiating over 500 games the pair were challenged to think about their favourite footballing memory!

When speaking to Moss and Dean, they emphasised that there is not a better time to become a referee - if you are interested in seeing how officiating has advanced over the years you can visit the Wolverhampton Art Gallery to see memorabilia used by football officials from the past.
