My time in the Royal Marines was only short (4.5yrs) however it made a massive impact on who I am today.

Throughout the year I think about friends that were killed, injured or still struggling with their mental health from the impacts of war.

Today is a day for everyone to remember the sacrifices made by our military. The sacrifices made by these men and women came from a place in their heart, a place that made them decide to stand up and put themselves in danger so others didn't have to. They stood up for what they felt was right, not for governments or politians, but for their families and their home.

It's also important for me today to remember the sacrifices animals have made. Many horses and dogs have been killed in war and still to this day dogs are as important as ever.

We Will Remember Them.
