Cheese Day at GL! 🧀

Yesterday, the GL team gathered for a cheesy celebration, turning our lunchroom into a delightful paradise with a full range of delicious cheeses. 🎉

A big shoutout to Matt Bryan for the idea and for putting together the Excel sheet to ensure our cheese celebration was very well organised and a success! 🙌

This year, GL raised money for Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust on Christmas Jumper Day🎅🎄

Our hearts are warmed by the festive spirit, as we donned our most fabulous Christmas jumpers to raise awareness and funds for a fantastic cause!

We also spread holiday cheer within our team by participating in a Secret Santa exchange 🎁

We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team – Tom Bailey, joining us as a Sales & Customer Service Advisor! 👋

Tom may be stepping into his first office based role in sales and customer service, but his eagerness to learn and passion for delivering exceptional service stood out during the hiring process. He will be at the forefront of handling customer queries and ensuring the smooth processing of orders.

✅ Carbon Reporting: We track our carbon emissions across scopes 1, 2, and 3 to understand our environmental impact.

✅ Carbon Reduction Plan: We are developing a comprehensive plan to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a greener future.

✅ Life Cycle Assessments (LCA): We are conducting LCA studies to evaluate the environmental impact of our products, and access both the operational and embodied carbon. These LCA’s will lead to externally verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).

We are pleased to share that GL hosted a training day for Clarkson Evans yesterday.

Our team, Callum Whittall (Technical & Compliance Manager) and Matt Bryan (Sustainability & Compliance Officer) provided insights into renewable technologies such as energy storage systems, battery storage, and electric vehicle (EV) car chargers.

The valuable knowledge during this session will contribute significantly to the lectures' ability to educate apprentices at Clarkson Evans.
