A beautiful Sunday in the workshop, busy with this handsome chap

This chap has been keeping me busy in the workshop over the last few months and is now all ready to go off to his forever home.

It’s always a pleasure to be asked to carve a beloved friend 🐾

I’m pleased to say the Labrador is finished and is off to her forever home 🐾

My latest commission.

Not something I’ve done before, it’s been a challenge and kept me busy in the workshop but I’m pleased with the finished piece. 🎣

It’s alway lovely to get feedback but this message was particularly good to hear after his long journey down under 🦡

The badger has landed! He is handsome and dignified just like my father. They are yet to meet but I’m very sure they will soon be in constant company. Thank you for the skill with which he has been made and thank you for the care you took in making him safe and comfortable on his journey. On the occasion of my father’s birthday I will let you know how well they get on together. He already brings joy!

This little chap has made his way to Australia, I’m pleased to say he’s arrived safely 🦡

It’s great to be asked to do something different, a fish isn’t something I’ve done before but I’m
really enjoying carving this one.

It’s been cold in the work shop and I’ve been struggling with the 100 day cough so progress has been slower than usual but I’m pleased to say I’m back at it.

I haven’t posted for a while but it’s been a busy summer in the workshop, Spaniels and Owls keeping me out of mischief. These beauties are all ready to go to their forever homes.

This beauty has been keeping me busy in the workshop over the last few weeks, she’s almost ready for her stick 🐾

Hand Carved Badger Head Walking stick on hazel Shank. £150 plus postage

This stick is hand crafted using traditional stick making techniques and can be made to your requested length.

The badger head is lime wood and the shank is traditionally pegged into the head piece making for a stronger secure joint.

The stick has been varnished by hand to make it water / weather proof so it can be used all year long, it also has a ferrule added to the bottom of the stick to protect the shank.

Looking for Father’s Day gift ideas, these are all in the workshop and ready to go.

This lovely lady has been keeping me busy, she’s gone off to her forever home today.

It’s the first time I’ve carved a dog carrying a bird and really pleased with the way it’s turned out.
