Today, many congratulations go to my student Emile who has passed his practical driving test.

On his birthday too 🎂🥳

This was a very hard worked for result, and the effort was rewarded with just 3 faults.

I know how much this means and I wish Emile and his partner Danni (hope I’ve spelt that correctly) a wonderful future in their new home.

Both school cars have been extensively cleaned recently.

It’s always a great opportunity to give things a close inspection and prolong the life of your car.

Especially when how they look represents your business.

I’ve been driving past this cottage in Salford Priors whilst on lessons, for the last three years.

Their floral displays are lovely and make this, for me, one of my favourite spots to drive by.

A change of driving scenery, but a thankfully very familiar result!!

Today, Lauren threw aside her Ben Hur dust caps and dazzled her examiner with her own car, “Ali G” in all his gleaming yellow glory.

Her examiner was impressed enough to limit the fault count to just 2, and the smile on Laurens’ face says it all.

I also taught her sister Jessica to drive, so an added, and very unexpected bonus, was my first thank you gift for my efforts as an instructor.

This means so much.

A day neither of us will forget!

Another early start has seen effort for both Amy and I rewarded, as today, she demonstrated to her examiner the necessary skills to prove her worth as an independent driver.

Amy has worked incredibly hard for this result and has been keen to take advantage of any learning opportunity available to her.

Realising what this will mean to her is my greatest reward, so I hope this helps her fulfill many of her future dreams and aspirations.

Well done Amy. Very well deserved.

When you see a student in their own car, driving independently within a week of passing, and you get the best smile and wave as though to say “look at me”!!

When in Broadway for a lesson, this place called 😍

Today, it was the turn of my student Ciara to shine.

She has gone from complete novice to competent test standard driver in just 7 months with a determined, can do attitude and that was evident today.

She passed at the first attempt with just one fault which by any standard is a fantastic result.

Her emotional support bottle, abject fear of mayonnaise, love of Athenian Owls and “perfect” grasp of technical manoeuvres all shine through when it mattered.

An awful day for a test but a fantastic result all the same.

Today it was Lawson who demonstrated the necessary skills to prove his worth as an independent driver.

The examiner was suitably impressed remarking “that was a good drive” and felt no more than 3 driver faults were needed.

Well done Lawson. Hard work has been well rewarded.

Another day, another test pass.

This time, it was Jack who demonstrated the necessary skills for an effective result, and a first time pass it was too, with just one driver fault.

He’s worked very hard to achieve this result and it was clear what it meant to him and his family.

A great result, well deserved.

Today, the winter tyres were put into summer hibernation, and a fresh pair of Yokohama were fitted to the front.

The original tyres were still legal, but with one pair being down to 3mm, it wouldn’t take long to wear them out with the mileage I cover.

Safety always comes first, and so we’re ready to go again.

Should help improve the economy too 👍🏻

This is not my usual lunch, but frequent visits to McDonald’s with my girls mean I’ve amassed 28000 points, so it would be rude not to cash some of them in for a freebie.

Wouldn’t it?

Both cars clean and ready for another week of curb crunching action.

With a few hours to spare this morning before the afternoons lessons, it was time to carry out some essential car maintenance.

The car to receive the care was my automatic, which after a high impact brush with a curb yesterday, needed some rectification.

Not one to do something by halves, all wheels were removed, wire brushed in and out to remove loose, flaky paint and brake dust, the brakes scrubbed and cleaned, including callipers, and a front to rear tyre swap both sides then completed.

With the wheels back on and the nuts torqued up, it was then a matter of checking tyre pressures and all the under bonnet fluids.

Tomorrow all being well, the car will get a clean in and out.

Well, the great start to the week continues.

Today, it was Caitlin’s turn to impress her examiner with a near faultless driving display, accumulating just one driver fault along the way.

A talented young lady who can sing, dance and act, the test pass will provide the independence she needs for what will undoubtedly be a very talented future.

What a great start to the week!!

A very nervous young man, battled all his anxiety to demonstrate great skill and pulled a first time test pass out of the bag, and only one driver fault.

Having also taught his sister Aoife, I have no doubt they’ll making sibling comparisons with a little good humour.
