Be.cause half term is all about the little people

1960’s ercol grand extending table.
Often Ercol would save the colourful elm for dark lacquered pieces of furniture.
The beauty about stripping them back is exposing the busy grain and vibrant patina hidden underneath.
It’s like the grand reveal looking down.
I absolutely adore this one.
When I delivered the table Grandma also showed me her named craft boxes for making things with her grandchildren.
They had boxes for blankets knitting and quilting squares.

The table is for so many things.
Sticking the football stickers in father and son to cutting the Christmas nativity costume.

This colourful joy was started as very worn dark wood and the chairs almost too tatty for the shed.
I have loved bringing this British masterpiece alive again for the jubilee. I exterior satin coated the top to last many years.
The colour ideas came from my amazing customer Julie

Off we go to Miami, a week of Gumball Rally cars and sunshine.
My cats … oh my poor cats.
Safely in a beautiful cattery…
Filled with cat mum guilt- off they go happily- probably sleeping the entire week, without a care.
I actually pack them goody bags and treats for each day and pjs tops to sleep on.
So leaving you with a thought ….Wish…want …need.

Ercol is a purchase that lasts lifetimes.
Generations of families hand down the love. The family Table will carry so many memories.

It’s with regret I put this notice on social media.
I am a trusting hobby enthusiast of Ercol furniture.
I recently with goodwill and trust purchased items from this man on marketplace.
After a phone call and details shared with me ( bit of a sob story ) I agreed to send half the funds.
He messaged at 7am saying filling with fuel and grabbing a coffee.
Then one by one you’ve guessed it- his photos came down online.
Replaced with slogans saying “Hustle”
I have since learnt a fellow ercol enthusiast was also scammed by him for £350 today,
My heart filled with dread… how many more has he scammed.
People like this don’t care, they lie without remorse,
So please share ,screen grab and remember this face.
Do Not trust this man EVER!!
