Sadly, AIMs no longer exists. We had 150 members and since 2004 our artists were able to develop, share and broaden their creative skills in a supported environment where attend

I am in lock down in Spain and coping the best way I know which is to process and express how I am feeling through painting and writing. I lost my recording equipment in the devastating floods in September so this is recorded on my mobile hence the quality is not great but friends have encouraged me to share it so here it is. I hope that it helps others so please feel free to share. If my voice sounds a little shaky that's because I am feeling afraid, vulnerable and worried for myself, my family, friends, neighbours and our world right now. Take care and stay safe lovely folks x

I think most people have met the black dog at one time or another. Be kind to each other. There's nothing to be ashamed of and there are things you can do to help :)
Depression is sometimes referred to as the "Black Dog". Just like a real dog, it needs to be embraced, understood, taught new tricks and ultimately brought to heel.
If you are in difficulty, never be afraid to ask for help. There is absolutely no shame in doing so.

Today us a day for self care
For many people, whether they are in a relationship or not, can be hard.
Over the years, you've told us the 'perfect' relationships you see on TV, in advertising and on social media at this time of year can make you feel like you're not good enough or alone.
So this year, let's focus on looking after ourselves. Share our info and let people struggling today know they are not alone. www.mind.org.uk/information-support/valentines-day/

Depression brings a whole heap of horrid symptoms to our door. We have no energy, problems sleeping, struggle to make decisions and lose interest in things which once brought us joy – to name just a few.
Depression can also really limit our concentration and memory. It can be frustrating and disorientating (and sometimes a bit embarrassing too) – we walk into a room and can’t remember why, we leave our keys in the door, we feel like we never get anything done because we can’t remember what it is we were supposed to do. It can feel like we’re wading through treacle, our brains just don’t work as quickly and efficiently as they once did. And boy, do we notice it.
