This bank holiday sunday we’re posting up at for a right old knees up from MIDDAY 😎

The gang will be providing some drinks and vibes, we’ve got dj’s and plenty of open fire BBQ vibes 😩

Comen through, we’re grilling and chilling all day

WE MADE A SAUSAGE!

Me and my boy decided to enter competition and what a better way to celebrate Filipino food than do a riff on a classic.

Longanissa ‘cumberland’ made by yours truly, with some lactofermented green papaya and a garlic fried rice tuille. It’s like the classic breakfast that used to make me.

Once i’d fermented the papaya i took some of the liquid, clarified it and shot it over to my boy at to include it in the drink.

He made a cordial using the fermented papaya liquid, then hit it with their in house butter syrup to add depth, body and to clarify the cocktail.

We ended up with the perfect pairing of a crisp, tangy and light refreshing cocktail which complemented the smokey zippy flavour of the langonissa 😎

We didn’t even get a chance to take pictures yesterday! Damn Cheltenham you guys came HUNGRY 🤤 We sold out of two days worth of stuff in 5 hours 😳

We got into some late night prep and have come back strong to with some belters of BBQ small plates 👀

Next week you can catch us doing not one but TWO different events!

We’re kicking off from Wednesday - Friday at for some early BBQ season buns and sides for you hungry croc fans.

Then on SATURDAY we’ll be between and with some dirty af hotdogs and a knees up in the yard 😈

SATURDAY 12TH AUGUST!

We’re having a street party in the heart of Worcester, COPENHAGEN STREET!

From 1pm on the 12th august we will be hosting live DJ’s, street food, live art and entertainment plus some great offerings from the superb independent businesses that reside in the street!

It’s a family friendly, FREE EVENT which will be running all the way until 10pm, with a cheeky afterparty until the early hours at Keystones 🕺 💃

Expect a big day full of good vibes and some great food and drink 👋🏾

ITS BEEN A LONG 4 YEARS

We started this spot in December 2019 as a little craft deli, specialising in local charcuterie, deli wares, and homemade delights such as kombucha, bread, and ferments.

The pandemic wasn’t v kind to us, we had to adapt and change our business model massively, and without any real funding we managed to scrape by and turn NEIGHBOURHOOD into a little 14 seat restaurant serving innovative, from scratch food.

We’ve been running it like this for about a year or so now and it’s been great! We’re busy boys so we’ve been running it alongside events, pop ups and also running our sister spot / .

But now it’s time to adapt again. The reality is that it’s so hard to keep a small restaurant going these days. Without really deep pockets it’s almost impossible to stay above water, no matter how hard you work.

BUT THIS ISN’T GOODBYE ☝🏾

We’re breaking out of the four walls and hitting the road for now, we’d rather travel around hitting events and getting our BBQ in until the restaurant climate settles down and we can invest in another brick and mortar site.

We’ll be having one last full week of NEIGHBOURHOOD next week, showcasing some of our favourite sandwiches so this will be your LAST CHANCE to get us before we hit the road!
