‼️ Together with our Polish friends at Alcom international we will be sending a driver with pallets of water / energy drinks and nappies across to the polish/Ukrainian border Tuesday this week . This is an urgent appeal for any packs of any size nappies or wet wipes you can donate , please drop off at the gym anytime before Tuesday and leave at reception as this will be leaving Tuesday to help these desperate,mainly women children, Ukrainians at the border . You guys have been incredible in the past supporting charities with us, let’s make a difference from Worksop and help these people who were living just as you and I only a few weeks ago! We stand with you Ukraine 🇺🇦 🇬🇧 ‼️

‼️WGK need your help‼️
As a gym , we recognise how important these defibrillators are. Previously we had an incident in the gym where a member took ill very suddenly , as we had first aid and various nhs professionals on-site we managed to get the necessary actions in place before he went off to hospital to find out it could have been fatal due to his arteries being clogged! Thankfully he now has a stent fitted and has made a full recovery . Now recently in light of what has happened to an athlete in football we are all now only too aware of the potential fatality if one of these is not on site
We are asking if 20 people, members or local businesses could support us by each donating £50
This will get our target of £1000 to be able to have this installed in the gym ...
we hope we never have to use this however this will save someone’s life

We’re absolutely gutted we have to close by midnight tonight , but we would again like to thank the huge amount of support we’ve had from all of our members throughout this awful year. As you know from the last lockdown we turned a negative to a positive and upgraded so much kit! So what is our promise is that once again when you come back it will be to a better version of WGK as planned! We already have scheduled some amazing deliveries so the place will look completely different in the next few weeks.
The offer will still continue on protein and gymwear throughout the whole of January for all of you on contract! That is a 50% discount off all clothing merchandise and protein supplements . We currently have over 40 hoodies on pre order and the next delivery 📦 should be around the 10th jan. Huge well done to one of our onsite physiotherapists who is now a fully qualified Level 3 personal trainer and a sports nutrition advisor ! This skill set will go alongside the endless list of qualifications that Steve Anders already has! He is already a level 5 sports injury and rehabilitation therapist. Those of you who attend the gym will know steve very well, and know his passion regarding fitness and wellbeing

‼️Just giving everyone an update , we go into Tier 3 on Friday! Gyms will stay open in this tier . We’re not going to celebrate this post isn’t about that! This is about supporting people and local businesses. Salons are one of the new businesses to be forced to close and only in Nottinghamshire ! We’re not here to decide whether it’s safe or not or debate this. Many of my friends and clients own or work in salons and I think what has happened to them is completely unfair! If your going to close a certain sector salons, gyms, sweet shops etc then close them all and make sure they are given the correct financial support especially coming up to xmas this is a hard hard time ! What’s so unfair is that nowhere else in the country under tier 3 restrictions has decided to close salons and you can potentially just drive 10/15 min up the road and get a treatment from another salon in Sheffield or Doncaster also under tier 3 . Which doesn’t seem and sound fair! Please support your local salons, and businesses that have been forced to close once again through no fault of their own
My heart goes out to them , years and years of hard work with no end in sight!
Let’s hope someone stands up and supports these sectors

Peter Waters 80 years old, having been through a tragic time and suffering a loss alongside this pandemic the effects of our older generation is devastating. We took great pleasure in giving peter lifetime free membership. There’s never been a more important time to help others and if you are in a position to do so you should .Debbie, peters daughter was a member at WGK, before moving back to lincoln and when she contacted us to look after her dad, we were just so happy to help
