This is a very tough post for me to write and I've been putting it off for quite some time now.. I've came to the decision to stop lashing and to close my business. This isn't a decision that's been taken lightly and it's rather emotionally painful.

There's a few reasons but mainly there are 2. As most of my amazing clients know I've welcomed my 4th baby into this world, Henrie is now 5 months old 🤍 being a mam of 4 who are ages 8, 7, 4 and 5 months is incredibly demanding and a full time job on its own 🤣 I don't have much time spare and when I do its spent creating memories with my little (big) family. Which is the main priority for me.

The 2nd is even from when I started lashing a few years ago there have been a crazy amount of people who have also started their lash businesses and I just find round blyth, there's too many chiefs and not enough Indians so to speak. I can't compete with introductory prices, I price my work by my level of skill and the high quality products that I use. Charging £20/£30 would be me losing money and to carry on that's what I feel I would have to do.

Lockdowns, price hiking, the cost of living crisis to name a few have just been detrimental and a lot of businesses are struggling to keep afloat. I wish all those who are struggling the very best and I hope soon their will he light at the end of the dark tunnel 🤍

I want to thank all my clients, old and new. None of what I achieved would of been possible without you all. I've made some friends for life through this journey and I'll be forever thankful 🤍

Many people are quick to blame a beautician when lashes begin to fall out, or fall out quicker than your expectations. However its our job to educate 🫶🏻

Did you know you can lose up to 5 natural eyelashes per day? An eyelash extention is applied to one of your single eyelashes, which means you can lose up to 5 eyelash extentions per day.

MORE than that if your aftercare is poor. Have you followed the lash technicians aftercare advice?

Are you washing them?

Are you avoiding saunas, steam rooms and sun beds until required?

Are you not picking or pulling at the extentions?

Are you avoiding oily products and heavy makeup?

**Oil breaks down the bonding of the adhesive**

On the other hand... If you have eyelash extentions applied to MORE than 1 eyelash, say for instance 5 natural lashes, you will not lose that lash extention until either the weight of the other outgrown lashes along with the extention snaps it off or until the last natural eyelash sheds.

** this is not healthy for your eyelashes**
However it can appear that the eyelashes 'last longer'.

Look after your eyelashes and your extentions girls.

P.s Lash extentions are a luxury, they're not for everyone's budgets as they are an expensive upkeep.

If only lash extentions would last forever 🥺🥺

But then.... I would be out of a job.
