A vehicle we had to apply an adblu solution to as the part is on a 2 month back order but the countdown to no start was on 60 miles this method was applied to enable the vehicle to carry out its daily duty once the part has arrived the vehicle will be reprogrammed back to its original state as we keep all the original protocols

A job we had a few weeks ago the customer called us after being to a local tuning company they had done a forced regeneration on the car why I don’t know when the car should be capable of doing a passive one itself if not there’s a problem. Anyway the light came back on within 24 hours so a friend recommended us I spoke to the lady explained how the DPF works and what would be the most common issue and I explained the cost and the warranty we provide. The car was collected the next day and driven back to our workshop the first thing we noticed was how the car drove it was all or nothing so obviously had been remapped before but very badly secondly the mpg was atrocious 28mpg average and the fuel gauge moved faster than the Speedo. Once in the workshop we opened the bonnet to find that the fuel filter was 10 years old and the air filter was black as coal with a date for 2015 so a service and return to a stock file and a fuel system clean using the patented Terraclean machine restored this car back to original spec and returned to the customer with mpg over 60mpg
Had the tuning company taken the time to listen to the customer drive the car and look at the live data and obviously under the bonnet then the answer would have been there

Porsche Boxster S 3.4 for front discs and pads and rear pads replacement.

Kia Cee’d in this morning for a replacement clutch.

Customer complained the car didn’t engage 1st gear properly and had started to slip under load.

Replacement LUK clutch which is genuine/OE quality.

All collected completed and returned to the customer without the gentleman having to source transport home. One happy chap 😄

Nissan X Trail Rear Brake Discs, Pads and Parking brake Shoes.

Customer complained of having no handbrake and brakes feeling compromised. The discs were scored and if placed on a record player would more than likely play a Stone Roses song.

New brake discs ordered along with the brake pads, handbrake shoes and fitting kit. The shoes had disintegrated to dust as they had seized on.

We checked the operation of the handbrake cables to make sure these weren’t sticking causing them to bind. Operation all ok and proceeded to refit the new parts. We adjusted from the back and worked to the in car adjuster and managed to get a perfect working handbrake and test drove to ensure no binding or grinding. Again all perfect.

Customer collected the car and later called to let us know how happy he was that his car now drives like it used to when he first bought it!

Ford Transit Connect 1.5 TDCI

Van came from a company we work very closely with for its annual service and a diagnostic session.

We initially carried out draining of the oil followed by our pre MOT inspection. We found 2 main beam headlight bulbs blown aswell as a missing rear number plate light. Replaced the bulbs and checked this problem was now rectified.

Carried out the rest of the service, Oil filter, air filter, fuel filter and pollen filter finished by topping the oil to the correct level. All parts used were of OE quality with genuine Ford engine oil.

On the diagnostic session we found a DPF code for the particulate filter being blocked after failing regeneration processes. The van is used mainly for driving from one end of the yard to the other and left running whilst a train is unloaded of shipping containers therefore is left to idle for a long time. The live data report we did showed everything working as per manufacturers spec and we put the failed regenerations down to lack of use.

We carried out a regeneration process on the ECU and allowed it to carry out. Lights out drove back and all seems perfect.

Audi A1 1.6 TDI all put back together and sent back to the customer last night.

All lights were reset adaptions programmed and driven from our workshop to Barnsley roughly 20 miles to ensure no faults.

DPF passively regenerated itself and all live date as it should be.

Audi A1 EGR Replacement.

Unfortunately in the lifespan of the CR engines in the VAG cars they suffer with the EGR needing replacing. This causes the DPF to not gain the temperatures needed to regenerate thus causing it to block up then suddenly… the dreaded EML and Flashing coil light.

Only 1 thing to do in this situation.. Call us on 07912 621252. We have to tools and equipment to replace the EGR with a Genuine or OE Quality part. We don’t use the cheap parts available on the market as these fail very quickly.

We love a classic here at DPF doc. Re-wired the engine bay, points and condenser. Good old recommision and sort the brakes, ready for export to california.

Yet another corsa in for a timing chain. We live for this...

Ford KA that was in this morning for a gearbox issue which occurred after it had a cheap job doing a clutch, the previous repairer left half the clutch in the bottom of the bell housing and didn’t change the thrust bearing. This has destroyed the input shaft sleeve causing gearbox oil to leak into the bell housing and contaminating the clutch. So pay cheap pay twice
New clutch kit required and a gearbox reconditioned required, luckily we have a contact who will rebuild this gearbox overnight for us

S type jaguar having a temporary Egr solution while the customer sorts finances out for two new Egr valves unfortunately this big car has two Egr valves fitted and there isn’t a good quality after market unit available
