A 20 minute gentle breath-work session & self Reiki while one naps here and the other watches tv…going from feeling like a bubbling volcano ready to pop volcano 🌋 to ahhhhhhhhh 😇 I can do this

I’ve got a list as long as my arm of things I ‘should’ be doing

being a mother of two I really get it, the business, the chaos, the never ending list of chores, the daily rhythms

but I’m here to say, when all else has been said and done, what will matter more is how you took care of yourself, prioritising your well-being over the washing to put away or dinners to cook, or even feeling guilty about a little screen time

You matter, the state of your nervous system matters

My message today isn’t to shame or guilt or even make you feel bad..just a gentle reminder to find some time to come home to you 💕

Huge congratulations to these three beautiful women who have taken the first steps on their Reiki journey & are now Reiki level 1 practitioners 🙌🏻✨ it is an honour to do this work 🙏🏻

Im a day late but who’s bothered? Welcoming the light as Spring starts to stir 🌸 the air definitely holds whispers of Spring but as eager as we can be to get giddy from this gentle stirring we must remember nature is still wintering and like the shoots and buds we must unfold gently, feeling the energy building, warmth and light coming forth, the seeds we have planted in Winter now stirring ready to shoot. It lifts the heart to feel the hope of Spring in the air 🥰

These delicious little melts smell incredible and make a luxury addition to your self care routine/Goddess baths, simply drop into your bath and allow the oils and butters to melt in the warm water & fill your senses with that soothing scent of lavender, also contains dried lavender hand picked out of my garden 🪴 a perfect way to ease the stresses of the day & help with sleep. You know, it’s totally normal if you feel like you just want to hibernate, to return to your warm homes and get all comfy & cosy and go nowhere. It’s ok to debunk your schedule & even cancel plans. Society tells us to keep pushing, to keep churning out results, to give and do, all year long, and really it’s against our very nature. It’s a natural instinct to retreat & protect your energy to conserve it for the upcoming winter. Just as Our Great Mother does year after year. The flower does not bloom all year long, the trees let go of their leaves to hibernate. The animals hunker down.

So instead of risking burn out & going against what your body feels this season, do what feels good and restorative for you. Schedule in more nourishing activities. Try and get some of that fleeting sunshine & fresh air. And let go of that tightness in your chest that you ‘should’ be doing ‘more’. Personally I don’t like ‘shoulds’.
