CCSV – ventilation mode for resuscitation

Ventilation under continuous chest compressions during is challenging. That's why WEINMANN has developed CCSV:

➡ During resuscitation ventilation under CCSV, a pressure-controlled ventilation stroke is performed synchronously with the chest compression performed. This means that no gas volume can escape from the thorax. The increased pressure in the lungs ensures greater compression of the heart during chest compressions. The cardiac output increases and ensures better gas exchange.

💡 CCSV can be easily integrated into the resuscitation procedure and not only offers medical benefits for the patient, but also supports users by allowing them to perform chest compressions without interruption.

The sacrifices Paramedics make to care for the public never go unnoticed. Jill cherishes many fond memories with her crew, from navigating snowstorms to working through the holidays, always prioritising her patients' needs.

Continuing our celebration of International Paramedics Day, meet Jamie! With 15 years of dedicated service, Jamie cherishes the memories made with his ‘green family’. As a Clinical Mentor, he has guided many trainees in their development.

Jamie has seen the profession grow with HCPC registration and takes pride in the recognition of Paramedics' clinical versatility both within and beyond NHS ambulance services.

First off, this International Paramedics Day, we celebrate Hugh!

As a former Community First Responder (CFR) Manager, Hugh and his team performed several life-saving resuscitations before the ambulance arrived, highlighting the critical importance of early CPR and defibrillator access in the chain of survival.

Hugh remains a registered Paramedic and is a proud member of the College of Paramedics.
