It’s not just car engines we do - this customer came back to us with his other toy after being suitably impressed with us previously this year, a Suzuki DRZ400 that suffered a catastrophic engine failure with a completely seized piston/crankshaft assembly. This rebuild consisted of all new crankcase bearings, replacement gearbox, new crankshaft/con-rod and piston with a new cylinder. We stripped and refurbished the cylinder head and even commissioned this particular engine back into the bike and breathed life back into this machine. We even put an MOT on it for total customer satisfaction! Another very happy customer 😎

This little Ford Crossflow engine came to us in a very aged/poorly state. It lives in a Jago Jeep from the 1980s and has had the full Hammer Engines restoration treatment with all new internal components, check out the before pics of what it looked like on arrival

Another happy customer received his freshly restored Lotus Twin Cam engine today - this unit was in a very poor condition with cracked pistons/ blown head gasket and the usual wear and tear past serviceable limits to name a few!
After multiple efforts - this engine is back together with a far superior specification than before boasting forged high compression pistons, 3 angle valve seats and much more. This task also included a full strip and ultrasonic clean of the Dellorto carburettors and a full rebuild of the original manual transmission. This package will soon be powering a Mk1 Ford Es**rt that’s had a full restoration of the body and drivetrain.

Nice little gearbox exchange for this 1953 Riley

This crankshaft was ground at an inferior machine shop and failed to address seal lip grooves from years of wear. This would cause oil leaks and extra labour if oversights like this are not caught in time. Thanks to Automotive Machine Services for correcting such issues 🙌👍
