The 15th Anniversary of Giuseppes Southern Italian restaurant is only few months away…

Welcome to Giuseppes’s kitchen.
The first seed of this restaurant was planted as a young child when I watched my Mamma create tasty dishes from simple, fresh ingredients. She told her secret to being an excellent cook “Giuseppe, the secret of being a buongustaio (gourmet) is to taste all ingredients and dishes even if it means tasting some that you don’t like”.
The story behind Giuseppe :
Born in Catania, Sicily, I grew up in my parents restaurant ‘La Cantinaccia degli Artisti” in Taormina, Sicily, working there from the age of 14.
After leaving University, I moved to England at 23 and found employment in family run Italian and Spanish restaurants. I rose quickly from working in the kitchen to managing front of house and becoming restaurant manager. Subsequently I became an Operations Area Manager for a famous chain of Italian restaurants and then Operations Director for an high-end French patisserie brand.
I love world cuisine and living in Italy, Spain and England has made my vision for food broad and flexible, to me, the most important ingredient for successful cooking is to do it from the heart, with an open mind letting your love of food inspire you.
At Giuseppe's, we strive to make every meal a special and memorable experience for our customers. We believe that food should not only nourish the body but also feed the soul. Our Sicilian Head chef and co-owner Gianfranco put his heart and soul into every dish they prepare, and we hope that our customers can taste the love and passion that goes into every bite. Whether you are stopping by for a quick lunch or celebrating a special occasion, we want you to feel like you are on a holiday and have a dining experience that you will remember for a long time to come.
Why are Blue & Grey Giuseppes colours?
Giuseppe had chosen these colours for various reasons. Blue is often associated with calmness, trust, and depth, which could represent the serenity and vastness of the sea. Grey is often associated with neutrality, balance, and sophistication, which could represent the unpredictability and complexity of the sky. Additionally, these colours have been the natural hues that Giuseppe observed on his first day in Worthing, in October 1997, which left a strong impression on him and inspired his concept in our lovely seaside town of Worthing.
