💫 Important update for National Orders 💫

We can only apologise to our national customers, anyone who knows us knows we are transparent and honest.

We have used DHL as a courier, and it was the worst choice we have ever made. They have destroyed, lost and damaged parcels. We have been given videos of delivery drivers kicking boxes down the road, depot staff contacting us because they want to order meat after helping themselves to some after breaking a box, therefore our customer hasn’t received their parcels.

We have faced £1000’s of pounds worth of losses, with no insurances or cover for perishable goods. We have had to resend some parcels out upto 3 times and still had to refund customers (for one order this cost us £670 in losses)

We have been stuck in contract, and we are now at the point we are refusing to send anymore parcels out until we have switched to our new provider, we are hoping this will be done by Monday, but if not all national orders will be sent out Tuesday.

It’s been a very worrying time for our business, but we hope we can come back from this and continue to ship our meats around the UK as we have done for one whole year.

As the weather is getting hotter (we’re not complaining 😎 🌞) we’re encouraging customers not too bring dogs the store, as some days it’s definitley too warm for them 🥵

❗️Important Notice❗️

As many of you may know, the weather we have been experiencing this week has been rather extreme, reaching highs of 32° in some parts of the country. Below we are going to be giving information regarding orders, so if you are waiting to receive a delivery, please ensure you are reading this fully and if there are any more questions, please call us!

-NATIONWIDE DELIVERY-
Due to the extreme heat, we are limited on how many parcels we can send out daily. As we are receiving more and more orders daily, we are still trying to work quickly and effectively to ensure orders are being processed, packed and ready for collection as soon as possible.

We have taken further measures when packing to ensure your orders are not arriving thawed and unusable. We ourselves have limited how many we are sending out daily, due to the heat, as we do not want our staff to overheat and become unwell due to overworking in the extreme temperatures. We hope you can understand why we have done this, and we appreciate your patience at this time.

-LOCAL DELIVERY AND COLLECTIONS-
At this moment, local deliveries and collections will remain as normal, although we have now also changed the processing time to 1-3 working days to, again, ensure our staff do not overheat in this weather. As you can imagine, the heat instore is not as cool as customers may think. We have windows open to try and let a breeze through so the heat doesn’t affect our staff too much, but they are supplied with fans and cool drinks throughout the day.

We appreciate your understanding for us taking the measures we see necessary, and we are all thankful for the patience of our customers. As you know, we will be back to normal as soon as we can.
