We are so proud to reveal the new plastic-free poppy, available this October and fully recyclable at home. Share your thoughts in the comments below ⬇️

100% paper ✅
Plastic-free ✅
Fully recyclable ✅

The poppy has been a symbol of Remembrance for over 100 years, and this new design retains its iconic shape whilst being made entirely from paper.

This poppy will be available for our 2023 Poppy Appeal alongside remaining stocks of the current poppy. Donations for both poppies help the Royal British Legion continue its vital work supporting the Armed Forces community.

Hands up if you’re as excited as we are 🙌

Owain was nominated for Primary School Pupil of the year 2023 for his charity work for the Royal British Legion, for the last few years he has painted and decorated stones with Poppies on and wrote Welsh messages of gratitude on the back of each one which you would of found on the poppy stall.

Last year he lost his Taido (Grandad) so was even more determined to help raise money for the RBL which was a charity very close to my Dads heart, I know that my Dad would be so proud of everything Owain has achieve, he’s over come so much!

He received his award from Andrea Byrne last night at Soughton Hall

This we're shining a light on the National Memorial Arboretum.

The Arboretum is a place where anyone can take the time to reflect, whenever they need to, at any time of the year.

A calming space, it is designed to help us celebrate the lives of loved ones and commemorate those who have lost their lives in service.

There are over 400 memorials to visit, plus the RBL Remembrance Glade and the newly installed Trees of Life Glade - both areas of tranquillity which encourage reflection and remembrance through symbolic features and plants.

Or you can take a peaceful stroll through the 150 acres of beautiful woodland and gardens.

Wherever and however you’re remembering your loved ones today, we're here for you. ❤️

Wishing a very happy Mother’s Day to all of the mums and mother figures within the Armed Forces community. 🌸

Whether you’re serving, a veteran, a family member or someone who is missing their mum, we’re thinking of you today.

If you need any advice, support or just a friendly ear, our team are only a phone call away.

You can get in touch on 0808 802 8080, between 8am and 8pm, every day of the week. ❤️

This year, to mark 60 years since the last serviceman, Second Lieutenant Richard Vaughan, completed his National Service, we are bringing veterans and their families together to ensure the unique contribution of this generation is always remembered.

If you or a loved one were a National Service conscript, please join us at the National Memorial Arboretum on 16 May for an afternoon of stories, music and a Service of Remembrance.

Please share this post with family and friends to help us find as many National Service veterans as possible.
