We are so pleased we helped get this frightened little feral kitten to safety in a warm home and away from the shocking main Llay road.

Respect to our Volunteer for going out and to Eve for going out of her way to help this little one 🙏

I hate the Term 😠🤬😤😤 I know it is how people like and find it easy to refer them in this way 😔 I like to call them frightened ferals, I can relate to them and love them no different to any other cat ❤️🤔.

I wish it was that easy 😉😳.

Today's Rescue case will update tomorrow is part of the on going case in Pen Y Cae.

We are hoping once we have caught mum we think we have completely resolved this what was a growing Colonie originally started off by the Ginger mum that has had kittens again last week.

We are desperately low on fund's at the moment and we need to pay the vets so I desperately need to post about the life threatening cases we have taken on this last month.

The vets have gone out of their way to save three lives that would almost definitely died 😞😭.

19/08/2024

We have been contacted this week about this little single kitten seen next to a very busy road in Legacy area again at a different location.

We have been back several times since Friday to leave food but we haven't unfortunately seen her. 😞 We will keep looking, workers have also been feeding her so I hope she may come out for them tomorrow.

19/08/2024

This week the pregnant Ginger frightened feral mum has had her kittens in one of our feral pens in Wrexham cattery.

Unfortunately she kept rejecting the little black kitten and had punctured the kittens leg by removing it.

I was out of the area so came back in the hope of removing the kitten so I could feed them but by the time I had got back to Wrexham the little one had died. Stuff like this in the Rescue world sticks with you.

Then we were told that a beautiful black girl a kind concerned member of the public had picked up off the road and handed to us had been killed on the same road she tried removed her from after we had returned her, even though other people had raised concern about her being in the road several times after this 😿😞

Then we get told about the young kittens that could potentially be dying in Legacy when their mum was killed on the road.

And finally last night I went to feed the cats in our premises to find the beautiful Ginger boy from Pen y Bryn dead curled up in his sleep. 😭😭😭

It brought back the memories of me losing Holly and finding her dead and it all came back to me. 😞😭

Anyone that thinks rescuing is a walk in the park it is an emotional rollercoaster. You are trying your best to save life's, protect life's, lose sleep over knowing there are cats out there you can't help because lack of space, lack of funds and lack of adoption enquiries it wears you down. It then affects your private life because you are trying to be 20 people all in one.

I am lucky that someone stepped in to help with everything last night because finding that beautiful boy wrecked me. We try our best but you always feel you are fighting a losing battle.

Please be kind to little self funded rescues we are doing the job of bigger organisations but on a shoe string and limited helpers..

It has been an an emotional week in general. I still haven't been able to post historical rescue cases yet

A lot of followers would have seen that earlier this week that a feeding feral mother had been killed in the Legacy area of Wrexham.

We contacted the member of the public that had been supporting this poor girl and they assisted one of our volunteers at length for two days trying to find the orphaned kittens. 😞

It was a vast area to search and we heard nothing so we thought the worst 😿

Today I received a phone call that a member of the public had found two very small kittens by chance cutting the grass in the Legacy area of Wrexham. They were very small and one of them was very weak and dehydrated.

I was in Broughton at the time so I rushed back and told one of our volunteers to prepare a heat pad and formula. The family that had them were lovely and very helpful. I immediately took them to our fosters and I hand fed them, little Ginger was the brightest so I fed the little black one first then the vocal ginger kitten.

Once I knew they were stable myself and foster met each other at the location they were found and made an extensive search for more kittens. Mum had hidden them so well behind panels of wood in a shed. We removed everything carefully and there was no more kittens. We then searched everywhere playing a video of the two kitten's Calling and mum calling kitten video off You tube.

Unfortunately we didn't find any more or hear anything so we are 🙏 that there was only two.

It is a matter of yards from where the mother had been killed if these are her kittens they are miracles.

I have hand fed them several times today and Celandine Wood Animal Rescue animal rescue kindly offered to take over hand feeding them because I am overwhelmed with everything at the moment and we didn't have anywhere for them to go. I appreciate them stepping to help it has taken a huge amount of pressure off me.

Please donate directly to them to support these lucky little ones. Thank you to the lovely people that found them they both are so lucky.

We love all cats, but Black cats get so over looked in rescues. Please adopt black cats as well 🙏

Feral cats colony on North Wales railway raise pressure as numbers explode 17/08/2024

We really need new homes for these poor cats. We can't afford physically or financially to take a case on like this, but the bigger organisations had said unable to help so did other rescues.

It is a Very sensitive case, the cats need to be removed asap we are doing it for the cats.

Comes with 5 weeks Agria Pet insurance

Our Rescue work and support of cats that others over look, never stops.

We don't clock off at 4.30pm or have inflated salaries. We rescue, support and protect 365 days of the Year.

I haven't had an opportunity to update everyone about the last month's rescue cases. But I will try my best over next few days.

This is a new case but unfortunately a very on going one, more so now I am not based on Wrexham industrial estate and I can't keep an eye on the frightened feral colonies, support them and TNR them like we use too.

This little growing family is the result of a local food factory they are aware they have a colonie and after several offers to help neutre this colonie they still won't let us engage.

It has created little sub colonies now that have split away.

I wss contacted by a friend last week informing me that this little family was growing. I have been down a few times supporting them and weighing up the situation. I have been told a lovely Gentleman feeds them daily so we have left food to help him.

This is going to be an ongoing case and it is so hard not having a neutering support scheme in place, spaces and funds to be more Pro-active like we use to be in the past.

I couldn't sleep knowing these little ones were here so I had to bring them more food and leave supplies for this kind hearted Gentleman, it is 1.56am and though I feel half dead I feel better seeing them eating and washing themselves after.

THANK YOU to Kaya the cat's owner for their very kind and generous donation after we loaned them one of our professional cat traps.

A few of you might remember that Kaya escaped out of her carrier before going for a short break at HMRC Cattery, Pencae LL14.

Great news that she was caught and back home

It is International Cat Day!!! 😺 Let's see your little beautiful furry four legged family members 🙏

08/08/2024

Here goes catch up time, whilst I can 🤔😳 sorry for the delay we have been mad busy.. 😞

😼. Huge Llangollen case still on going but hoping will be able to report shortly.

😿. I followed up a case last night of a growing family of cats on Wrexham industrial estate, unfortunately the result of a colonie at a food factory that after several attempts will not engage with us to reduce numbers and TNR (TRAP, NEUTRE AND RELEASE)

😿. Fluffy that had the bad leg off Wrexham industrial estate, semi feral boy has had to come back in for further investigation because his leg has flared up again, so expensive investigation work needed 😭

😺😺😺😺😺 We are still feeding our colonies religiously every night as normal, our passion to support frightened ferals will not change.

😼. I am hoping to talk with the person supporting the Gwersyllt colonie this weekend.

😺😺😺😺😺😺😺 We are still supporting Graham with the colonie he is desperately trying to feed signal handed, now that we have neutered all his. We suspect two new cats have joined so needs further investigation.

😺. I will trying to build up more people to help support us, fund raising etc.

😼. We are hoping the 🐌 will have life saving work completed over the next couple of weeks, but I personally am desperately trying to fit in couple day break at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival end of this month, I desperately need a break 😳😞🤔

A huge thank you to all our amazing loyal supporters, fosters and volunteers for understanding the pressure we are all under at the moment.

I am hoping to speak with the kind Gentleman that has offered the Website.

Check us out in Love Wrexham Magazine this and next few months, they have gone out of way to help us design our advert in the hope we get more People on board supporting us and finding out about our little self funded charity.

We will be looking at over ways to promote ourselves and desperately grow.

Adoption enquiries are still shocking low 😞😭😭😭😭

08/08/2024

Happy International cat day everyone. 😺

PLEASE SHARE 🙏

If someone who is kind enough to donate to us making their first donation if they haven't got PayPal app.

PayPal will kindly donate an extra £5 so I think for example if you donated £1 maybe less they will give us £6.

At the moment we are seriously struggling I have around 15 posts I need to do of on going cases, cases covered over the last few weeks, donations people have kindly donated and organisations.

I am going to desapartly try and catch up over next few days. We are also getting next to no enquiries for cats which means it is seriously preventing me doing rescue work.

I have had to juggle spaces around to accommodate a few life threatening emergency cases in over last few weeks if nothing changes then we will have to turn life threatening cases away 😞😭
