Crate Escape Dog Walking

So, we are almost through the summer holidays! Whooo hooooo 😆

I won't sugar coat how I'm feeling about this year's summer holidays, because it has been tough!

Because I'm just "the dog walker", I am the first person who gets the cancellation. Fact!

Please bare in mind, that this is my only income.

I'm not on Universal Credits, or any other forms of benefits, top up, or what ever else there is to claim.
I just don't.

My dog walking work is my only source of income, and oh my lord, I've felt the pitch this year for sure.
It's even given me time to think about a career change 🤔

Rent needs paying, even through the summer holidays!
My land lady won't give me 6 weeks grace 😂
My van still needs work doing on it. But funds are putting a stop to that!

I'm probably too honest for my own good.
But that's just me!

But, apart from feeling a little depleted, I carry on!
As always!

This week's dogs have certainly lifted my smile. 🫡

Everybody, meet Charlie.

Charlie is currently doing his DOE (Duke Of Edinburgh) Bronze award in school 🏫 👏

He is having to complete 12 hours of work experience in order for him to achieve the Broze level, hence he's spending a few sessions with myself during the summer holidays. I mean, a little human company is always a bonus when all I do is chat with my pack of dogs 😂

So if you see him with me, please say hi 👋🙂

As most of you are aware, my van has become a little unwell today, and therefore I've cancelled the remainder of the week due to it going into the garage to be seen to.

Its truly not in me to just cancel as I have, but the stress inwhich vehicle cost puts me under is immense, and my head simply can't deal with it, especially not this week!

I would usually jump in Geds banana car, but last Friday I used it to ferry dogs back and to from the field , it was just caked in dog slobber, hair, and dirt!

I then spent 3 hours cleaning it.... which I really don't want to have to do again!

I'm beyond sorry.

There is really not much else I can say.
Other than.....

Good morning all.

After 6 months of rain, we are now being blessed with beautiful weather. 😍🌞🌞🌞

But this hot spell can make our animals somewhat a little hot and bothered.

This week, I've conducted pack walks a little earlier, and today, I'll be collecting them early, as the temperatures are set to hit a high by 1 pm.

I'd rather all my work dogs to be walked and home before this time.

So you are all aware, every crate is supplied with a USB fan, and ice packs
This makes sure that the dogs have something cool to lick while being transported.

I make every effort to ensure all my dogs are comfortable during these hot spells.

Thankfully, my field has plenty of shaded areas, and a running stream. And lots of cool grass for the dogs to chill in!

His humans took an amazing 3 months off travelling the otherside of the world, back packing, and have since returned to normality 🤭🙂

Good morning all.

You've probably noticed I've not uploaded photos lately.

I've been so busy, and taking photos is sometimes the last thing on my mind while I'm trying to complete a pack walk.

So apologies for this.

Secondly, if I'm not at your home by a certain time, please don't panic. I am on route, it just takes time to get from one house to the next. Especially when my collection radius is so vast!

Thirdly, I'll be unable to take "last minute" bookings. Meaning messages on the day to add a dog to pack walk.

I'm probably too accommodating, and this then leaves me feeling super pushed for time, and feel like I'm chasing my tail. So if you have dates in mind. Please book them in.

Also, so you're all aware, I'm so tired.
Beyond tired. And mistakes are being made due to my brain being in the bin!!!!!!
Im getting home, drained, anxious and sometimes emotional. Poor Ged has been greeted with tears on a few occasions now.

I need a holiday. So I'm planning a trip to see my mother in Spain. I need a long mum hug, a recharge, and to stop for once and do nothing 🏖

I'm really sorry if I'll be letting people down for pack walks. But my body is screaming out for a break.

I think that's pretty much all I needed to clear up.
I'm sure something else will crop up.

But for now.
