Today my latest and most extensive commission was collected by the client. Well it’s safe to say they were over the moon with the final diorama and actually were speechless. As a creator this makes me happy and love what I do I don’t see what I do as just a job I see it as my passion. 

Today at the Festive Fair at the hub has been great I sold a print and there was lots of interest on the dioramas and I’ve been commissioned for a Christmas present so this is fantastic

Another competed diorama.

This has been inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The walls are made from polystyrene slabs painted with a sand & PVA mix. This is added to the walls to give strength, once this mix is dry a layer of poly fill mixed with grey paint is added and stippled with a rough brush to add texture. Once this layer is dried a dry brushing of white is added to bring out the stone work texture. The sally picture frame & coffin lid are all handmade using coffee stirring sticks & lolly sticks and weathered using a craft knife and painted with a dark brown and dry brushed with a off white to make the detail pop. The torn curtains are made from thin sheets of paper towel and painted with a thin layer of watered down PVA to allow them to keep there shape.

As most of you know my main business is AC Creative my photography business. But did you know I have a second business called AC Create that creates custom geeky-inspired collectibles. Well today it has undergone a brand change and here is the new logo and Facebook banner

A Halloween themed commission

The client requested some gothic/ Halloween horror bottles, here are the end products complete with bottle contents

This is a beetlejuice Commission I was asked if I could do. Custom artwork is available on request message for prices and let’s see what I can create for you 

Well here is my finished Plauge Doctor inspired mask I can’t wait to do a photoshoot with this already got some pretty cool creepy ideas for a shoot.

The mask was made very simple using tinfoil as the base then layer with packing tape and more foil to strengthen the mask. Then a sections of weathered fabric was layered over the mask and fixed in place using hot glue. Then a simple white base coat was applied to the fabric once paint was dry I weathered the mask further using pigment powders and a light grey wash to add more grime and weathering. The final step was to glue the hessian sack for the eye coverings and it was completed. I am very happy with the end result and this build was a spur of the moment idea I love my creative side will just flow and create awesome things.

Well after 6 tough months AC Create is back in the office at The Hub got some great projects coming up over the next few weeks feels great to be back.

Hi its Adam from AC Create we are still here despite the current situation we are in our team have been over the last few weeks working on some new crafts, for example, some simple but nice hand-painted cards and rustic woven wall hangings. We have been working on some commission dioramas and custom props for a couple of clients.

Once we can return to normal the team at AC Create have got some fantastic ideas for gifts and crafts and will be working hard to get our name out there at local craft fairs and maybe some showcases for local makers. I and my team want to thank you all for the support we want to grow AC Create along with our sister company AC Creative to continue to provide good quality work and great customer service and build great relationships with our clients. Well that’s another custom collectible done
Here is my Mad Max inspired vehicle’s
So we have the War Wolfs Heavy Rig & War Wolfs Assault Scout vehicle. To make these I used an old toy fire engine for the war rig and then added detail parts to it then it was all primed and painted then I did a weathering wash over it with acrylics and oil paints once all was dry I did some dry brushing to simulate exposed metal and the final details for it was to add some decals and weathering powder to give it the dusty appearance. For the Scout vehicle I used an old Real Ghostbusters toy and kitbashed it with parts I had in the studio then applied the same decals and weathering as I did with wolfs heavy rig. At a later date I will be making some custom bases for them to be displayed on

Alien Movie Universe Motion Tracker Inspired Prop

This project is close to my heart if you know me well you know my love for the first two Alien movies. So I wanted to create a prop that looks like it could come from the Alien universe. This is my take on a motion tracker the entire prop is made using parts I had in the workshop utilising an old watering can as the main body for the prop then using the kitbashing method I used everything from old mobile phone parts, bottle caps, printer parts, garden fairy lights, old wiring and even an old french press mesh strainer to create detail. Once all the greebles were added I sprayed the whole prop with grey primer once it dried I sprayed it a matt black and final an off-colour desert colour. once all the paint was dry I began to weather the prop with brown and black acrylics and also using sandpaper to create simulate wear and tear and then would drybrush silver to create exposed metal. The final detail to bring the prop together was some decals so that was warning labels some Weyland-Yutani company and Nostromo logos. This project was such a blast to work on

This was a personal project but this is the kind of dioramas AC Create can create for you. These are know as our tabletop dioramas. So, if you have a figure or vehicle you would like on a custom base or scene we can do that for you

With latest advice outlined by the government and the medical experts as of tomorrow that myself and the rest of the team will be working from the home office until further notice. But don’t worry AC Create are still open for business and bookings. I Think 2020 is going to be a tough time for all as we are all affected by COVID-19 but please be responsible don’t panic buy have respect love each other help each other and we all get through this I wanna say a big thanks to everyone from my self and rest of the AC Create and AC Creative team and we will be here with you guys through these testing times

Crafting & creating is something I have been passionate about every since I was a kid. I was always building or making something out of cardboard or washing up bottles, whether it was a sword and shield or a spaceship to fight aliens. I think it helped I had a great imagination as a kid and was surrounded by creative people from my family

As I got older I got into building dioramas and movie props from my favourite films.
After posting pictures of my dioramas and other makes on social media people started to ask if I would create something similar for them and out all of the hot glue and paint AC Create was crafted.
