Spring maker and a PB breaker🙌🏼🐋 the biggest of a very intense and productive period of angling. 53lb 4oz of true UK leviathan, the highlight of my angling career and a moment I’ll never forget. Big carp buzz 🐝
Spring so far…
A trio of lovely mirrors up to mid 30 from my syndicate over in Peterborough. Watching at first light was crucial to finding out where the fish were. Minimal baiting and leading up enabled me to get amongst them whilst the lake is fishing very difficult. A fruitful session last weekend and another session incoming tomorrow 🤞🏼
First carp of the year for me, a lovely 26lber from ’s North Bank in Peterborough. One of 3 bites over a very mild weekend in February. I fished 3 rods on a firm, smooth area on the back of a gravel bar. I spombed 16mm Manilla Active and corn over the area. Spinner rigs with matching wafters and Signature pop ups over the top produced the bites. The rig included all end tackle, swipe to see the full rig👉🏼
Happy Birthday Steve’o!! 🥳 Here’s to many more smiles and memories on the bank❤️🐋🍻
The Cotswolds so far🙌🏼 I’ve been focusing on a lake in the water park this autumn. These are the pick of the bunch with the biggest being ‘The Peach’ at 31lb 12oz. Spinner rigs amongst tight baiting in the silt has produced the results🤝🍂
Pick of the bunch for the gaffer yesterday at the trade show at Barston Lakes. A great insight into some new products, finished with a few hours of fishing.
Backing up the big’un the other week in fine style with Evie’s at a new top weight of 33lb 8oz. Finding a clear spot amongst a w**dy zone they always show in was the winning method. The rig included my standard spinner set up which I talked through in the session highlight on our profile👉🏼
The biggest of a fruitful session at the weekend. 40lb 12oz of leathery mirror carp. Backed up with a belting low 30 mirror and a couple of 20s. With the cooler weather coming in, amongst the rain and low pressure, now is the time to get out there 💨🍂🐋
A recent successful trip to my Peterborough syndicate. Getting down at first light after a 3 hour drive and seeing nothing for 4 hours was slightly demoralising but after one poked it head out on the back of the wind, it was game on. Fishing a clearing in the w**d at 65 yards, heavily baited with boilie, crump and pellet soaked in h**p oil. Spinner rigs, incorporating 20lb IQ2 and a size 4 Klor, fished with matching wafters over the top was the winning method. On the first morning, whilst the coots were diving over me, I received an absolute ripper of a take and bent into what I initially thought was actually a small fish. After getting w**ded up solid I opted to get out in the boat to get above the fish. A big common popped up and fought near the surface. I could see the size of it, knowing the hook hold was strong, it eventually went into the net. Weighing in at 36lb 2oz, I was absolutely buzzing. The sore head from the beers with the boys the night before were soon forgotten about after landing one of the biggest commons in the lake 🐋🍻
The last bite of this Spring, one of the coolest ones I’ve caught too. Proper boxy, grey and no doubt will get massive in no time! Weighing 31lb 12oz, certainly a fitting way to finish off an enjoyable spell of angling 🐋 🎯
A cool upper 20 from a recent weekend session. With the last Spring session looming, I’m hoping for one of the big’uns to finish on! 🇬🇧 🐋
Premium grade from Cheshire from the beginning of the Spring campaign. 30lb 4oz, an absolutely class way to kick things off 🐋 🇬🇧
Pick of the bunch from a fruitful session down the syndicate this weekend. 31lb 8oz of plump Spring mirror carp with a proper cool single scale on its flank.
The most recent outing in Peterborough. A couple of low 20 commons caught at the weekend 🎯
A lovely time down East Delph Lakes at the weekend for a social. Plenty of beers, a huge Chinese and a couple of bites too!
First one of the year…
We’d like to thank you for all the support this year. We simply wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for each and every one of you supporting your local tackle shop. It’s been an amazing year on the angling front too, this being the obvious standout! We hope you all have a happy new year. Here’s to an amazing 2023❤️🐋
Autumnal sunrises at their best 🍂
What a carp! First one of the Autumn and it’s Evie’s at 31lb 8oz. I received a bite out of the blue and after an epic battle from the boat, I managed to bundle it into the net with a load of w**d. Ripping off handfuls of w**d revealed something a bit special. Barbless Korda Klor hooks in heavy w**d didn’t let me down 🔒🐋 🚤
A lovely zip lin from last night. I thought I was into another tench when I had a few bleeps, but this time the bleeps continued and the spool started spinning. 25lb 8oz, absolutely made up with this one!
One from a recent trip, caught during the heatwave we had last weekend. I was packing up when the left hander ripped off and this 36lb 2oz mirror was the result. An absolutely awesome carp and a class result in challenging conditions. Got to be in it to win it!
Ever have it when you get a good’un in the net and it just seems to get bigger the more you look at it? 🐋 🇬🇧
Here it is! A new PB mirror at an absolutely massive 43lb 6oz. I moved multiple times through the session due to seeing activity at first light elsewhere. Fishing to the back of a bar right up against the w**d over a small bed of bait produced the bite. The new Klor hooks from fished on a Spinner rig have given me some truly immense hookholds, crucial whilst fishing in lakes choked with w**d. Hard work will always pay off 🐋 🇬🇧
