Another Imperial to Metric conversion done! Completed with flying leads and an aluminium terminal cover added to the motor so the main cover still fits, this also makes things easy for the customer going forward as a standard off the shelf motor can be used to minimise downtime.

Not everything in our industry is straightforward!
But there is always a solution!
Modern Metric motor had an Imperial face and shaft, discontinued by the manufacturer and beyond an economical repair we came up with a long term solution.
We used a WEG IE3 standard motor and made a Metric to Imperial adapter fl**ge and Imperial stub shaft! Both of which can easily be removed and fitted to another standard motor going forward 😁

Not just a refurb as this old pump was also converted from gland packing to mechanical seal type while it was with us for some much needed repair work.

All stainless steel fittings used and fresh powder coat will help with longevity due to its harsh environment 🪄🤩

Another batch of pump repairs! Now obsolete these three were in a bad way, 12 weeks lead time for similar pumps and pipe modifications required were not realistic for the customer….

Pump lanterns blasted and powder coated ✅

New gaskets ✅
New guards ✅
New stainless steel fasteners ✅
Returned to the customer in 7 days ✅

As good as new and around 15% more energy efficient than they were fresh out the factory 22 years ago!

Failed motors, rotten seal seats and shafts and rusty housings on these pumps which are obsolete would mean a long lead time and pipework modifications for the customer.
One week later they are back in service on site.
Bead blasted and painted housings, new shafts and seal housings machined in stainless steel for longevity, new motors, mechanical seals and gaskets and it’s safe to use the saying “as good as new” and 70% cheaper than new pump sets!
