Jo has been smashing life recently 🤩
9lbs down and cruising!
The best bit about this is Jo has still been enjoying the weekends, with a few social events, Christmas and some trips away!
It can be done, you just need to have a plan in place 👊🏼
Well done Jo, keep on powering through 🥳
Get started on your health & fitness journey 😤
Here are 3 quick tips to get you moving in the right direction…
1. Increase your daily activity by walking more - get out and MOVE PEOPLE
2. Find a way to track what food is going into your body - sorting out your nutrition is essential to making progress whether it be losing or gaining weight. Use a food plan or track your calories using an app so understand the foods your eating better
3. Start small and grow - aim for 2/3 exercise sessions a week to begin with so you don’t get overwhelmed by how much you have to try and cram in in a week
If you need any help with this, drop me a message and I can help you find your feet in this confusing world 👊🏼

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL 🥳
I’ve been working with Stevie for around 12 weeks and it’s safe to say she has absolutely smashed her goals 🤩
Whilst wanting to stop a bit of weight, something that was really important to her was gaining confidence around the food she was eating and learning correct technique with exercises in the gym.
It’s safe to say she has achieved everything she set out to do!
A big weight drop, she now knows how to eat intuitively so she can keep working towards her goals and is hitting some HEAVY weights in the gym which is brilliant to see 👊🏼
Keep up the good work Stevie and you never know where you can get too! Well done 😤
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE 🎅🏼🎄
Have a fantastic day and eat lots of good food!
🥳🤩
How to stay on track this Christmas 🤩
I’m not saying that you should stay on a strict diet over Christmas, anyone who knows me knows I pretty much say the opposite 😂
BUT… for those of you who do want to try and stay pretty consistent here are a few tips on how to keep your intake under control ✌🏼
(I hope I got my number right on the first one 🙃)
Shoutout to big for knocking out 100 calories in 5:57 😲
I gave him a time limit and said if he got 50 cals he can have 1 mince pie, if he got 100 he can have 2…
He said ‘hold my beer’ and smashed it with ease 😂
Well done Darren!!
The mince pie challenge is well underway… come and get involved 🤤
CHRISTMAS PARTY 😍
On Thursday night me and some of the team went out on a bit of a social for some food and bowling 🥳
It’s great to know that my clients are starting to feel like this place is more than just a gym but a place where you can make friends and enjoy life alongside training ☺️
Thank you to all of you for coming, I had a great time and I hope you did too!
Also a shoutout to our social secretary and for sacrificing herself for the photo 🤩

Let's talk about the importance of maintaining good form when weightlifting 🏋️♀️
🔑 Good form is the foundation of a safe and effective weightlifting routine. It's not just about how much weight you can lift, but how well you execute each movement. Here's why it's crucial:
1️⃣ Injury prevention: Proper form ensures that you're moving in a way that supports your joints and muscles, reducing the risk of injuries. By using correct techniques, you protect yourself from unnecessary strains, tears, or imbalances.
2️⃣ Optimal muscle engagement: When you maintain good form, you are targeting the intended muscles more effectively. This leads to better muscle activation and growth. So, by prioritizing form, you can maximize your gains and see quicker results.
3️⃣ Enhanced performance: Correct form allows you to lift weights more efficiently. By utilizing the correct muscle groups and movement patterns, you increase your strength and overall performance. You'll notice improvements in both your lifts and functional movements outside the gym.
4️⃣ Long-term progress: Developing and maintaining good form is an investment in your long-term fitness journey. It sets you up for success and minimizes the risk of setbacks due to injuries or plateaus.
📚 Here are a few tips to help you maintain proper form:
✅ Start with lighter weights: Focus on mastering the movement patterns before adding heavier loads. This ensures that your muscles are properly engaged and your technique is on point.
✅ Engage your core: A strong core acts as a stabilizer for many weightlifting movements. Keep your core muscles activated to maintain balance and stability throughout the exercise.
✅ Control the movement: Avoid using momentum or relying on other muscles to assist you. Focus on a controlled and deliberate lifting and lowering motion. Quality over quantity!
So, remember to prioritise proper form in every rep, set and workout. Your body will thank you, and you'll achieve your fitness goals with strength and confidence!
Happy birthday to the most important person in the gym 🐶
Everyone’s therapy dog, Nala 😍
🏋️♀️💪 Unlocking the Power of Free Weight Training! 💪🏋️♀️
Today I wanted to talk about the benefits of free weight training. If you're looking to take your workouts to the next level and maximize your gains, free weights should definitely be a part of your routine. Here's why they're so important:
1️⃣ Increased Muscle Activation: Free weights engage more muscle fibers compared to machines, as they require stability and balance. This translates to greater strength gains, improved coordination, and enhanced functional fitness.
2️⃣ Core Strength and Stability: During free weight exercises, your core muscles are constantly engaged to maintain proper form and stability. This not only helps build a strong core but also improves posture, balance, and overall athletic performance.
3️⃣ Joint and Bone Strength: Unlike machines with limited movement patterns, free weight exercises allow for a full range of motion. This promotes joint health, flexibility, and helps prevent muscle imbalances and injuries. Additionally, free weight training plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy bone density, especially as we age.
4️⃣ Functional Strength: Free weight exercises mimic real-life movements, making them more practical and applicable to everyday activities. Whether it's lifting groceries, playing sports, or simply carrying your kids, free weight training helps you build strength and stamina for a more fulfilling life outside the gym.
5️⃣ Versatility and Accessibility: Free weights are incredibly versatile and accessible. You can do various exercises with just a few dumbbells or a barbell, allowing for countless workout options that target different muscle groups. Plus, you can incorporate free weight training into your home workouts or take advantage of all the equipment available at your local gym.

🔥 Unilateral Training: The Key to Unleashing Your Full Potential! 🔑
💡 Did you know that training unilaterally can take your workout game to the next level? 🤯 By focusing on one side of your body at a time, you not only build strength but also improve coordination, stability, and overall muscle balance. 💯
🎯 Say goodbye to imbalances and hello to the best version of yourself! Here's why you should incorporate unilateral training into your gym routine:
1️⃣ Enhanced Muscle Activation: By isolating one side at a time, you engage the targeted muscles to their fullest potential, leaving no room for compensations or imbalances.
2️⃣ Core Stability & Balance: Unilateral exercises require your core muscles to work extra hard to maintain stability and balance. Strengthening these crucial muscles will benefit you in all aspects of your fitness journey.
3️⃣ Injury Prevention: Focusing on each side individually helps identify any muscular weaknesses or imbalances that could potentially lead to injuries. Unilateral training allows you to correct these issues and reinforce your body's overall resilience.
4️⃣ Improved Functional Strength: Unilateral movements mimic real-life activities that often involve using one side more than the other. Whether it's carrying groceries or playing sports, training unilaterally helps you develop strength that you can apply to everyday tasks.
🌟 Ready to take your training to the next level? Incorporate exercises like lunges, single-arm presses, one-legged squats, and single-leg deadlifts into your routine. Start with lighter weights and focus on perfecting your form before gradually increasing the resistance.

A lot of people struggle to get in the gym because all they focus on is the faff of having to actually turn up!

I always say to my clients all you need to do is turn up and I can guarantee you will feel 100% better when you leave 👊🏼
Because that’s the aim of a training session…
To feel bloody good about yourself after! 😍

REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED IN THE FIRST PLACE 🤔
It’s an easy thing to forget when you’ve been training for a number of years.
Motivation and discipline will slip from time to time… so how do you keep moving forwards?
Something I try and get some of my clients to do is attach an emotion to their fitness journey.
Think about how it feels to be in a place that you’re not happy with and use that as a push to keep you on track!
Don’t just think ‘I’d like to lose weight’
Think ‘I’d like to lose weight because I feel self conscious and unconfident when my clothes feel like they don’t fit well’
Dive in a little deeper and find the route of WHY you’d like to make a positive change
It might sounds harsh to begin with but it will definitely keep you on the straight and narrow for a lot longer than just having stand alone goal in mind 👊🏼

Train to feel good about yourself and the results will come.
A few words from a client testimonial a while back 👊🏼
My 2 main reasons for using a PT:
1. ACCOUNTABILITY
How many times have you said you’re going to get up early and go to the gym? Or plan to go after work but then drive straight home with no intention of training!
One of the main reasons people like to train with me is it keeps them accountable to the most difficult part which is just turning up!
2. SIMPLICITY
You don’t even have to think when you come to train 🤷🏻♂️
The amount of time people waste wandering around a gym trying to find a free piece of equipment is staggering!
When people come to train with me, every session is planned out so there’s no wasting time, we just flow through a tough but enjoyable session at your own pace 👊🏼
