We are sorry to announce that we will not be attending Kirkstall Market today. Don’t with though, the market is still on and has some fabulous food vendors, artisan bakers, crafters and artists!

😷 It’s a tough decision in many ways and running a business with limited health capabilities is becoming very tough. My brain is telling me I can do it and my body says otherwise! After contracting pneumonia recently it’s taken a while to bounce back. I’ve also had very sleepless nights with blood pressure and heart monitors attached to me all the while.

I’m sorry once again for the disappointing news, I’m heartbroken as Kirkstall is one of my most treasured spots ❤️ thank everyone for understanding 🙏💕

It was lovely to meet some new customers at Hawes Market House last weekend, coming into warmer weather our fabulous Room Sprays and Reed Diffusers were our most popular product. ✨

My favourite scent this time of year is definitely Paradise. This familiar scent is floral, feminine and beautiful. I just love it so much 🥰

We Made It 🌼 so so happy to be on the road and sharing our wonderful home fragrance products to the lovely people of North Yorkshire this weekend.

It always means we are either working hard, or I’m unwell… or both. But behind the scenes we are always here.

Since leaving my last residential care job I realise how much they drained me of my true self and put me into a new (unwanted) phase of my health conditions which I didn’t think I’d see for some years. I’m working hard on recovery and getting a little balance back 💕 always fighting 💪

We thought 2024 we would less backstage and more in show but sometimes life throws you a curve ball! Or several 😆

Scents & Serenity’s most crazy employees Tata & Neptune know when it’s candle making time, open the door and run off with wicks… but they also know when it’s comfort Mum time. 🐾

The start of this year has been great in terms of my lists, planning and organising 2024. But not a great one for pain. The cold weather seems to be aggravating my Ehlers-Danlos and PoTS symptoms so for me at the moment it’s rest rest rest!🤍

But nothing will stop me! I have lots of non-workshop bits to do and can’t wait to share with you all what’s coming up this year!

It’s all very exciting. But for now, painkillers and a nice cup of Yorkshire Tea 🫖 watch this space ⭐️

Andy and I would live too wish everyone a (slightly delayed) Happy New Year 🥂 we took our screen and social media break over the course of the holidays and we are back in full swing. Andy is working full time while still keeping tabs on S&S logistics and our new website 💻
I recently left my last full time post and as of this year will work part time to focus on my studies at Leeds Beckett and of course S&S. 🤩

Our sale is still running for a few more days before all our limited edition seasonal goodies will become unavailable.

We would like to thank everyone for supporting the restart of S&S in 2023 after our “big break”… the emotional repair and growth we have been through wouldn’t have been possible without our wonderful customers and especially our good friend . This years restart has only driven us to continue being us! No masks or hiding. As we continue to grow we can’t wait to show you what’s in store for this year… but not yet that would spoil the surprise 🙃🤫

After this holiday season madness from hosting our family Christmas for the first time and in our new home we are definitely due a hot chocolate and plan a trip evenjng together… maybe a quiet spot off grid, build fires, cook outside and sleep to the sounds of the forest? Glamping needs to be planned into our 2024 that is for sure🙏

We are all set up and ready at the Student Union Venue’s very own Christmas Fair 🎄

What an amazing weekend pavilion, we had so much fun sharing our lovely handcrafted home fragrance brand back in my home town of Kettering, very nostalgic 🎡
