It’s a free event with plenty to see and the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning, supporting a wonderful, local resource!

👋Hello! It’s been a while since I gave an update/introduced myself so I thought now was a good time.
I’m Laura- I live in Wymondham with my partner and three wonderful children (3 year old twins and 18 month old boy), plus our dog Dotty and cat, Dave.
I started doing afternoon tea delivery in 2018 but when lockdown happened in March 2020, the business went a bit crazy and my orders basically quadrupled overnight! It was an absolutely mad year, for all sorts of reasons but it meant that by the time my girls came along (we adopted them when they were 12 months old) I had a really solid business foundation and a wonderful group of customers so I could close the business and revisit it once they were settled.
Plans changed a bit when I fell pregnant and our little boy came along, so effectively I was on maternity leave for 2 years straight 🙈
I’m now working sporadically, doing occasional group bookings, catering for holiday cottages and special events plus stocking my Bake Shed on an honesty box basis.
I am trying to do the Bake Shed once a week, on a Friday, but I’m still navigating working around the children, their childcare and life in general.
I’ve not been in the best health the last year and so I’ve been pretty rubbish replying to messages!
My aim for the next couple of months is to get back into work more regularly, keep the Bake Shed going and expand back into catering and afternoon teas again.

The Bake Shed has been restocked ready for the school run. There’s a little bit of everything left. I do also have a few more pieces of school cake or lemon drizzle held back if you’d like to reserve.
