Big 3 points for the Shamrocks! 👊🟢⚪️

Absolutely class performance today from the lads against a good Riccall United side! We knew going into this game that it wasn’t going to be easy which was made even more difficult on a tricky pitch. We hit the ground running from the first whistle and controlled most of the first half going in 1-0 up at the break. After weathering the Riccall attack for the first 10 mins of the second half we soon added a second and third goal to see out the game and take home the 3 points! 👌

Goals this afternoon came from Lewis Rouse who netted a brace and Scott Pollington Woods! ⚽️

Let’s hope this is a big 3 points in our promotion push! Cheers to Riccall United for a decent game this afternoon and for the hospitality afterwards 👏

Big fixture this weekend for the Shamrocks! 🟢⚪️

On Saturday we make the trip down the A19 to take on 3rd placed Riccall United. A massive 3 points on offer for the winner with both sides having promotion firmly set in their sights! 👀

With recent bad weather meaning we haven’t quite had the game time we’d have liked so far in 2024 so we’ll have to be ready from the get go tomorrow in what’s sure to be a cracking fixture! 👊

A second half come back secured us the 3 points this weekend! 🟢⚪️

We started the game well but overall we weren’t clinical enough in the final third and we were probably too casual in the first half which gave LNER the chance to capitalise and we went into the half-time break 2-0 down. Great fight, spirit and determination in the second half from the lads saw us net 3 goals without reply getting us back to winning ways! 🙌

Goals yesterday came from Scott Pollington Woods, David Waites and Josh Fensome! ⚽️

Credit to the LNER Builders lads for a great game again and best of luck for the rest of the season! 👏

We make the journey to Newton-on-Ouse as we take on LNER Builders. We’ll be looking to get back to winning form this weekend after a few poor results in recent weeks!

The previous meeting between ourselves and LNER in January ended with us taking the 3 points in a 5-2 win. Let’s hope for more of the same! 👊

We bow out of the cup in the quarter final! 🟢⚪️

Beaten by a very good, young Hamilton Panthers side this afternoon! Definitely a tale of two halves as we matched Hamilton Panthers in the first half going into the break 1-0 down! But the wheels came off at the start of the second half as we conceded a few goals too easily and Hamilton Panthers put the game out of sight. We managed to pull a couple of goals back in the second half but Panthers deserved their win on the day.

Fair play to Panthers on their win and best of luck in the semi-final! 👏

Cup quarter final this weekend for the Shamrocks!🟢⚪️

Biggest game of the season for us tomorrow as we take on Division 2 high-flyers Hamilton Panthers. The game was originally scheduled as a home fixture, but due to our pitch at New Earswick being unplayable the game will now take place at the Knavesmire. 🐎

It’s been a few seasons since we last played Hamilton Panthers but we’ll have to be up for it from the start in what’s sure to be a cracking fixture! One we’re well up for! 👊

This weekends fixture ends in defeat for the Shamrocks! 🟢⚪️

Not much to be said really other than Knaresborough Celtic are a very good side who deserved the win on the day and it shows why they currently sit top of the division 3.

It’s our first defeat since September in the league so we’ll have to use this defeat to motivate us to get back to winning ways with plenty more games left to push for promotion! 👊

This Saturday we travel to Knaresborough Celtic in what’s sure to be a cracking fixture if the previous meeting against them is anything to go off.
We narrowly lost out in the reverse fixture back in August, losing 4-3 so we’ll be well up for making amends by taking the 3 points this weekend! 👊

We’ll have to be ready to go from the first whistle until the last as we aim to close the gap on Knaresborough who currently lead the pack in Division 3!

That’s 7 straight wins in the league for the Shamrocks! 🟢⚪️

A night and day performance between the first and second half today. Not too much to be said about the first half performance other than we didn’t really get out of first gear. After taking the lead, LNER equalised which is how it stayed into the half-time break.

When the whistle went for the second half we were a different team and it didn’t take us long to convert our chances with some much better football on show. We made it 5-1 before LNER pulled one back. A well deserved win considering the amount of chances we had in front of goal, but massive credit to LNER Builders who played some very good football today and made life tricky for us, especially in the first half! 👏

Josh Fensome netted our first goal of the afternoon, before Scott Pollington Woods scored a brace early in the second half with Harrison Booth and Liam King also netting one each. Special mention to Liam King for netting a well deserved first goal of the season! Plenty more to come no doubt! 🔥

Back on the 4G pitches again this weekend! Hopefully we can keep the recent momentum going as we aim to close the gap on the league leaders! 👊

We had brilliant support on the sidelines last weekend, so if you can make it down to support the lads this Saturday it’s always greatly appreciated!👏

We kick off 2024 with 3 points! 🟢⚪️

That’s back-to back 5-1 wins away from home in the league! We were delighted to be back today especially with most games postponed this weekend due to the weather! After a few weeks off for the Christmas break we understandably took some time to settle into the game but goals soon came with some class team football and link up play saw us go into the half time break with a 4-0 lead. Ebor Wanderers then got one back from the penalty spot before we added our 5th and saw out the game comfortably.

Harrison Booth, Lewis Rouse and Scott Pollington Woods got on the scoresheet in the first half with some calm and collected finishing in front of goal before Ebor put the ball in their own net to make it 4-0. Killian Mc Namara then got on the scoresheet in the second half scoring our 5th with a strike from 25 yards out!

Fair play to Ebor Wanderers today for a decent game and for sorting the 4G pitch 👏

This weekend we take on Ebor Wanderers with the game being played under the floodlights on the 4G pitches at York St. John University! With a lot of pitches being under water currently, we’re delighted the game can go ahead! 🌧️

Big performances needed for the rest of the season as we push for promotion! 🙌

After several weekends without a game we were glad to be back playing football this afternoon!

We struggled to play our usual quick football in the first half and probably made life more difficult for ourselves but still took a 2-0 lead into half time! The second half was much better and we settled a lot more in the game playing some decent passing football on a tricky pitch!

Today’s goals came from Killian Mc Namara who netted his first of the season, Lewis Rouse who added another to his already ridiculous tally for the year and a well taken double from James Gallagher! Special mention to the own goal from Duncombe Park too, it was some finish! 🚀

Disappointing not to keep the clean sheet but in the spirit of Christmas it was a gift to Duncombe Park! 🎅🏼

A win this afternoon and a place in the quarter finals of the FA Junior Cup! 🟢⚪️

It’s safe to say we weren’t at our best today but to come away 4-1 winners against a side a division above us says a lot about the team!👏

After a bit of a scruffy first half we took a 2-1 lead into half time courtesy of a Harrison Booth goal and a Scott Pollington Woods penalty. We settled more in the second half with Heslington chances being few and far between. Scott Pollington Woods got his second before Josh Fensome made it 4-1 with a decent finish from outside the box to put the game to bed!⚽️ Excellent work rate from all involved today to get the win! 🙌

Our first quarter final fixture as a club awaits and we can’t wait for it!👊

We’ve faced Heslington several times in recent years, but the stakes in this fixture are much higher than in previous meetings with a place in the quarter finals awaiting the winner! 👊

This Saturday we face an unknown test in Division 3 as we take on Duncombe Park, a side we haven’t met until now! 👊

Not too long again Duncombe Park we’re playing their football in the higher divisions of the York League so this isn’t a game to be underestimated! We’ll be hoping to carry on from last weekends solid performance and win!

Can’t fault the work rate and effort today from all the lads involved. We knew going into the game that Selby Olympia had claimed some big scalps this season so it was a game we had to be up for from the start. And that’s exactly what we did! We made sure we were first to every ball and took our chances in front of goal when they came and the scoreline reflects that in the end. Some very well worked team goals today and a clean sheet as well to top off a quality performance! 🙌

Lewis Rouse maintains his ridiculous goal scoring tally this season by netting another four goals today! Harrison Booth and Josh Fensome also got on the scoresheet for us. 🔥⚽️
