We have some fantastic news to share! After a temporary closure, The Mitre, Knaresborough is all set to reopen its doors this Friday, May 3rd! We are thrilled to invite you back to our cosy and welcoming pub, where you can enjoy some of the best Brew York beer and various other beverages.

Our mates Frango Eduardo will be serving up some Portuguese Chicken for launch weekend. We are still finalising the details of our permanent food offering and will share the details as soon as we can.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all back to The Mitre pub and making your visit a memorable one! Located at Knaresborough train station it’s really easy to reach.

Our restaurant in Kings Square is very nearly ready. We can’t wait to share all of our hard work with you and hope you’re as excited as we are to try Frango’s newest offering… Tasca Frango 🧡

We are so, so close…👀

Yesterday we deployed a full team to provide flames, food and a full keg of Flummoxed Farmer.

On our portico grill, we served up an epic selection of bbq’d treats;

🔥 Piri-piri chicken (of course)
🔥 Marinaded rump steaks
🔥 Chorizo rosario
🔥 Gooey halloumi
🔥 Lamb koftas

Teamed with our favourite fries and sides; Portuguese tomato salad, Frango slaw and spicy rice.

We served up pints of alongside flagons of LB7 red wine from Lisbon and some delicious whites and rosés, too.

We even fired up our pizza oven and fished out some epic sourdough delights to make sure everybody left with full belly’s and even fuller hearts.

Exciting things to come…

On Saturday we fired up the grill for our wonderful friends and Frango aficionados @ - plying their guests with grilled chicken, halloumi, tomato salad and slaw.

Thank you so much for inviting us down to be a part of your special day, we were honoured to be a part of it! 🧡

We catered at a lovely intimate BBQ yesterday. On the grill was:

🔥 Frango’s piri-piri chicken
🔥 Beautiful full rump steaks
🔥 Lamb koftas
🔥 Piri-piri prawns
🔥 Chorizo Rosario

We also served up our grilled halloumi, zesty slaw, Portuguese tomato salad, some spicy rice and of course the famous Frango fries!!

It was epic.
