Over the remaining Spring and Summer the plan is to open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm. This will be dependent on staff availability.

This week we will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

What's in a logo!? I thought it would be interesting to share about how our Logo and Brand identity came into being. You can see the the first drawings I made as we were creating the brand and where it ended up with our fantastic logo which we love. But as with everything Blanche Claire, there was much more thought that went in than just throwing some elements on a page. So here's the elements and their reasoning.
1.) The Name: Blanche Claire means "White Light" in French which, as well as being a combination of my name and my late grandmother's name, we thought was very apt for our bright and airy boutique full of fine french lace.
2.) The Lotus flower: This amazing flower can actually be used to produce fine silk and our long term sustainability plan is to include this type of silk in our own Blanche Claire branded product line.
3.) The Orchid flower: is a symbol of a healthy ecosystem which again, is a key part of our core personal and brand values. As well as being one of our favorite plants, it's beauty and and delicate detail, are emblematic of the type of products we love to select for our wonderful Blanche Claire family.
4.) The Circle is just a universal symbol of the life cycle and how sustainable production and purchase cycles need to develop for the good of our planet. It is also representative of the seasonal nature of life and of course, the style and colours you see on display in our boutique througout the year.
5.) The Lingerie set in the background: This is a classic style that we love, the retro briefs are always a favorite when we review ranges, and this timeless cup shape is reminiscent of those glamourous times in the 1930s when Lingerie became a real staple of a woman's wardrobe.
6.) And finally, the core brand colour: This lovely sage green, is not only my favorite colour, but representative of all things natural. When I'm not in store or developing the business, I love nothing more than being out and about experiencing nature.

So there you have it, a little history on our brand.
