Railway St Fisheries

Customers ask me what potatoes we use and we're we get them from. The variety of potatoes we use is a sagitta and they come from Daisy Hill farm 🚜 Burstwick, Hull. They are very good people to deal with and would recommend to any businesses who are in the catering trade. I went today Wednesday 11th September to collect my potatoes here are some pictures of the machine that takes the potatoes out of the ground and a few of the farm. Hope this gives some idea of what we do to try and get the best potatoes for the chippy

Hello everyone i think i need to put the record straight about the palm oil we use to cook in. The palm oil i use is from a SUSTAINABLE and repeat SUSTAINABLE palm oil plantations. Using SUSTAINABLE palm oil means this gives work to the SUSTAINABLE palantation owners and there workers. Which in turn helps to stop illegal felling of the rain forests and to help the life of our orangutans. Anybody who thinks they dont use palm oil please and repeat please think again. When we get up in the morning and jump in the shower most of our soaps and shampoos and conditioners contain palm oil, brush your teeth most brands utilize palm oil in there tooth paste. You find also find palm oil in body lotions , deodorants shaving products and cosmetics. Breakfast time oatmeal ,cereals breakfast bars contain palm oil. Move on to lunch wheter its a salad ,chips, a packet of crisps palm oil is on the menu, many rolls and sauces are made with ingredients that contain palm oil even ready made frozen meals. Fancy a chocolate bar, ice cream a nice cookie or a cracker in fact most snack food and desserts frequently made with palm oil. Back home time to do the laundary and washing up. Well Dishwashing liquid and detergent can contain palm oil. A spot of cleaning after the dishes household cleaning products often contain PALM OIL. So how ever you look and feel about palm oil you probably use it. You might feel like a nice donut or a pizza after reading about palm oil, before eating remember they too probably containing PALM OIL. Polite notice to all our customers, our fryers get turned off 15 mins before closing. This allows the fryers to cool down before closing. No orders will be taken after the fryers are turned off. We will only sell what is left thankyou.
