It’s the time of year when reviews are popping up on my Googlepage, and this latest one from H + R made me smile.

They’re part of a growing number of couples living elsewhere in the world who choose to marry in Yorkshire. In this case there are family ties to the county, but many of my couples just like York and Yorkshire- and who can blame them?!! We’ve got it all 😂

Once I’ve worked out the time difference on my head for scheduling wedding ceremony planning meetings, working with overseas couples is a doddle for me, and I love learning about wedding traditions in their culture and incorporating it into my script. After many months of emailing and catching up online, H + R and I met up over a cup of Earl Grey the day before the wedding, so we could get the choreography right and practice the handfasting.

Today is one of the MOST important days in the social media calendar: International Dog Day!!

Obviously this dog person could not let such a significant date pass without honouring wedding pups everywhere. Hannah + Ky’s fur babies are part of the family, so there’s no way they would have married without them!

Vinnie + Bella nailed their ringbearer duties, and afterwards helped mum + dad de-stress with a walk on Almscliffe Crag.

I love working with dogs at weddings, and can often be found holding the lead after the ceremony 🤣
