Wonderful to see James Stephenson and his daughter Juliet taking a moment to delve into the rich history of StephensonsRural by exploring our fascinating archive books.

Founded in 1871 by Jacob Stephenson and his son Richard, our company has a long-standing tradition of excellence as chartered surveyors, valuers and auctioneers.

These books, some dating back to our founding year, are filled with meticulous handwritten notes and have been a cornerstone of our stocktaking valuations. Incredibly, these historical records are still used in reference today!

It's lovely to see the legacy being continued by later generations of the family.

Our environment team has been hard at work!

✅120 SFI agreements offered, generating nearly £5 million for farmers over 3 years.

✅175 Countryside Stewardship claims completed.

✅Grants applied for: Calf housing, Concrete yard renewal, Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF), slurry, boundary & fencing.

Expected in July 2024, the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) will offer 102 actions, including over 20 new options for sustainable food production and flood preparedness.

This expanded offer aims to support tenant and upland farmers, streamline applications and improve payment rates.

The PM's package to support farmers includes:

➡️Food Security Index
➡️New farming grants

Across three days, the Marie Curie Coast to Coast will take Chris from West to East, covering 155 miles of Northern England.
