For all our loyal customers... Unfortunately, the weather has taken it's toll; a poor summer and autumn during 2023, and a cold wet harvest through April, May and the beginning of June of this year, has left our asparagus in need of an early rest. We are winding down production and this coming weekend will see our last shop openings of 2024. Sorry we couldn't make the extra week as promised but we really need to safeguard the crop for 2025.

Still bu**er all cut today but at least we now have sunshine and new tee shirts, thanks to , so plenty of smiles all round.

Service with a big cheery smile, meeting and greeting customers, old and new, selling our asparagus, alongside locally produced mayo, hollandaise and dressings from Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, so beautifully refreshing bottles of Yorshire Wolds Apple Juice and not forgetting, locally produced honey from our honey lady, Margaret Langstaff. Despite another bout of rain forecast, we're taking the plunge and announcing an official opening, not a pop-up, but an actual, official opening. 🤪
Much improved temperatures through the week have made a welcome change and things of the growing kind are now happening in fields. Fingers crossed, folks.

Look who's going to pop in and run the pop-up shop, tomorrow, Monday 29th.
We're cutting in the morning and selling from 1.00pm until 5.00pm.
With the temperatures set to improve, we should shortly be able to announce regular opening days and hours.

We will be open on Thursday 25th April, 2.00pm till around 5.00pm, to sell the day's harvest. Please note, we aren't quite ready to announce our full, regular opening hours, not until the weather plays ball.

But look what it brought, lots and lots of pretty little asparagus plants, around 44,000 of them.
