It may not be my best work but I thought I’d do a little something to help raise awareness on World Bipolar Day. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with Bipolar type II. While many may see this as a devastating diagnosis, to me it was one of the best things that could have happened. I now have a better understanding of who and why I am the way I am, as do the people in my life, which means I can now get the right support when needed. But above all, I now know that no matter how bad things may get there will always be a brighter and slightly crazier day ahead.

Meet Megan! After a this beauty left to travel the rainbow bridge 🌈 her owners granddaughter decided to draw this beautiful picture. It was then passed onto me so Megan could be immortalised through the eyes of a very loving 5 year old and displayed on her Nana and Grampy’s wall. Made from wire on a gold painted canvas this unique work of art also features a hidden silhouette of Megan which is only visible in the right light. I guess you could say it all started over 30 years ago when a little girl made her father a birthday card and singed the back ‘Anamandacard”.
Years later, now a mother and wife with all the real problems and turmoils that life likes to throw at you, I was asked a simple question;

“If you had nothing stopping you what would you do?”

This reignited a passion for creating hand made artwork, jewellery and gifts for all of the beautiful hearted people in my life out of beads and wire.
Now I am here ready and waiting to crelate that something special for you and the beautiful hearted people in your life.

Who would have thought that honouring my late grandmother by making my own wedding bouquet would have lead me to where I am today! Making these French beaded flowers introduced me to the wonderful world of beads and wire. So to my grandmother, wherever you may now be, thank you! I feel your presence always, guiding me forwards and reminding me to never give up.

As a mother of two young boys I am often inundated with unique scribbles, most of which disappears into the ether. But for the extra special ones this is a great way of immortalising their precious works of art. Each picture is copied onto painted canvas with wire and includes a photo of the original artwork. Makes a perfect gift for anyone who has the love of a little human.
