We are closed today for the festivities and will be open from 10.00am to 1.00pm tomorrow before we go again.

Not much sunshine today, so we've found a photo from a brighter day.

Beer festival? What beer festival?

Thank you to all the volunteers and staff who turned the Hall from a beer Hall back to a medieval one!

Our fantastic Merchant Adventurers’ Charity Beer Festival volunteers are all ready to go!

Our afternoon session is full but walk ups are available for the evening session starting from 4:50pm.

Coming to the beer festival on Saturday and also an England fan? We will have a small screen for those that want to watch the football.

For those that don't, YO1 Radio are providing musical entertainment. Either way we have you covered!

Good morning! It is the week of the Merchant Adventurers Beer Festival so these are our opening hours:

Monday: Open as normal
Tuesday: Great Hall & Ante Rooms only - half price admission
Wednesday: Great Hall & Ante Rooms only - half price admission
Thursday: Hall closed, Merchants’Coffee House open
Friday: Beer Festival!
Saturday: Beer Festival!
Sunday: Hall and Merchants’ Coffee House closed

Monday 8th: Open to visitors as normal!

It's a two wedding weekender at the Hall!

We will be closing at 1.00pm today and then we will be closed all day tomorrow (29th).

After all the celebrating we will be open as normal to visitors on Sunday. 🍾

Despite being in the centre of a busy and bustling city, the Hall’s garden still offers quiet spots away from the crowds.

It provides an opportunity to stop, sit back and literally smell the roses. 🌹

We're manifesting some warm and sunny weather for this week by sharing this summery photo of the Hall. 🤞

A view from every window!

This is a view from the Governor's Parlour in the newest extension at the Hall. It was built in 1947.

The second oldest extension which you can see is Tudor and was built in 1601.

The oldest? The Chapel which was built in 1411! 🤯

Let's just say it. It's cold.

So in a bid to warm up proceedings: here's a photo of the Hall on a sunnier and warmer day.

You can almost feel the sunshine. 🌞

You'd be right, it's York and this is Old Ouse Bridge seen in three different artworks from the 18th and 19th centuries.

Another week, another marvellous view of the Hall.

We're trying to find a bad one but it's just not possible. 😉
