HAXBY BAKEHOUSE UPDATE
Apologies for more changes but as you can imagine it’s a changing world and we’re doing our best to move and change around what’s happening.
We have shut the shop but will continue with home deliveries.
The safety of staff members and the moral obligation of stopping people just “popping in for a sausage roll” lead us to this decision.
We will be baking Tuesday and Saturday for deliveries in to Haxby, Wigginton, Strensall, Huntington and other villages local to us.
Please order by email - [email protected]
Order by 11am Sunday for Tuesday delivery
Order by 11am Thursday for Saturday delivery
Only items we will be baking are
White loaves s/l
Granary loaves s/l
Wholemeal loaves s/l
Sourdough
And we have frozen a large batch of 100% rye sourdough.
We also have plenty of cheese, butter, bread flour, Rafis, milk, coffee which can be ordered too ( just request what you want and we’ll do our best)
Orders for Saturday are now closed sorry. 2 of the bakery team are now at home until this situation ends so there’s just me and Alex. We’ll bake as much as we can but we may have to close orders if there’s too much coming in.
We are looking at doing community bakes on a Thursday, please get in touch if you can order a bulk delivery to you village.

Start with some Haxby bakehouse Rye bread cooked in Beef fat, then top with Charcoal emulsion, cured Pork fat and pickled Wild Garlic seeds! It’s banging!!

A day of learning for the team today! This the year the National Organic Combinable Crops conference is just down the road in East Yorkshire. Lectures, Farm Walk and great local food, the breakfast supplied by Haxby bakehouse was delicious
