Mini Budget Headlines:
Cancellation of the planned increase in corporation tax -- it remains at 19%
A single higher rate of income tax of 40%, abolishing the 45p rate for those who earn over £150,000 from April 2023
Basic rate of tax will fall to 19% from April 2023
Dividends will be taxed at 7.5% for a basic rate taxpayer and 32.5% for a higher rate taxpayer
All increases to National Insurance Rates to be reversed
and finally
Removal of the off-payroll working rules for private and public sector - back to the old rules where directors of intermediary companies decide whether there would be an employment relationship between the worker and the engager.
