Meet The Team Monday! 🤝

Here is Joe, making your Monday even brighter!! He is a Deputy Team Leader here at Electronics Direct.

Joe is becoming a new Dad at the end of April to TWIN girls (he’s a twin himself but it was still a surprise at the first scan!) 👶 He is a devoted York City fan; home and away but will soon stop when the girls arrive. He even branched out the nest and moved to Malton after living in York for 24 years (his whole life!), but it still hasn’t stopped him saying no to nights out on a weekend.

Go Clayton! 📣👏

At Electronics Direct we are sponsoring one of our employees Clayton, this year. Clayton plays for Acorn Rugby League Club, this is his first season back playing rugby in 15 months!

Clayton unfortunately had to have an operation after a serious broken bone, and we are so proud of him for getting back out there on the pitch.

15 months out of action and his first game back in the Challenge Cup at the top level, he only went and scored a try. 🏉 🏟️

What better way to kick start Meet The Team Monday than with Craig Hopwood, our Managing Director.

Over 27 years in the Electronics Distribution industry and several other years in Management positions you can already tell our MD has a wealth of experience. 🏢

Outside of the office he’s an outdoors and outgoing individual passionate about skiing and the mountains, especially the French alps. ⛷️

One of his downfalls was never being able to say no. This means he has a haul of event medals for Marathons, mud runs, coast to coast to name but a few.

Today is Time to Talk Day, the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. 🗣️

We know the more conversations we have, the easier it gets to talk about our mental health and the better life becomes for everyone. Talking about mental health isn’t always easy but conversations add power, which can change lives.

Last year we implemented Mental Health First Aiders and this year we really want to make our workplace an even safer place to talk.

Make space in your day for a conversation about mental health and remember to use this Time to Talk Day as a chance for you to reach out to a friend you haven’t heard from in a while.🧡

A tough game to start off the day for our U12s as they were unfortunately outplayed by a strong competitor.
Their second game, they came back stronger and more confident with some good scoring from FitzThomas and secured the win! 📣

Every year, we do whatever we can to give back to those around us.

St Leonards Hospice is close to many of our hearts, therefore all money collected though out the year will be donated to them.

We are already organising fundraisers - Bake Sales, 10k Run, Football Shirt Day, Quiz Nights and Table Tennis tournaments.

We can’t wait to raise money for such a great charity!!!

We thank them for their service and sacrifice which has maintained our freedom and continues to keep us safe.
