Sorry we have been so overwhelmed with the demand while we were away and also this week. So much so the website is now down.
We are working really hard to clear the backlog of orders (we are about halfway through now and have 2 collections a day now) and we are getting the website back up and running asap.

Well that's the last of this batch of 40 wheels in 2 1/2 days which killed the spring of one of our tension metres which is a sad day 😭

This week's challenge was a good one. Someone dropped off a 56" Penny Farthing with a pringle wheel last week for me to sort out. I think they will be happy with the results?

This is my daily view when I'm cutting spokes.
But today we had so many orders over night and today it ended up being 1980 spokes not the usual 800-1000.
If you wondered 1980 cut spokes weighed in at 21.8kg altogether.

It has been an amazing year to have shared with you all.
Just a few stats to share with you of how mental it has been.

We have,
Hand built 4271 wheels,
Used/Cut and threaded 289,000 spokes,
Used/Sold 341,000 ni***es,
Shipped to 9 different countries,
Recycled just over 120kg of stainless, 92kg of aluminium, 218kg of mixed steel, 190 tyres and 200+ inner tubes.
Broken 11 spoke keys, 6 ni**le drivers, 2 workshop stools and warn out 3sets of die for our Phil Woods spoke cutters.

We have so much more planned for next year and also so many more spokes and ni***es to put up onto the website.

We will be back on the 2nd January as we will try and get all outstanding orders that have come in over the Christmas break out that day. The emails will take a bit longer, but everything will be back to normal by the Friday.

Once again you have made our year just amazing and it has been a pleasure be the one you have all turned to for your spokes and wheels. ❤️

We are still managing to keep up with all your orders and wheel builds, keep them coming.
Our last day for shipping this year (yes it is coming fast) is the 19th December.
We keep a massive stock of over 195,000 items 🤯 and most of Sapim's range so we can keep up with your orders.

We were the first in the UK to start supplying custom cut spokes to you all in 2009 and still remain the largest.
Everything we send out is always tracked and signed for so you can have peace of mind. Any lost post is normally resent within a day of it being reported.

If you have any questions just ask I (we) will be very to help.

We just wanted to say a massive thank you to all our amazing customers all over the UK and the EU new and old!.
You have all made us super busy all year especially our corporate clients helping us push to the next level.

We are going to be closed from the 20th December until the 2nd of January for a well earned rest.

Until then we are still open and running at a 100%. We still have space for more wheel building and spoke orders.

200 ebike wheels done in 9 days to meet the customers deadline. So they can get the bikes built and out before

I think it is time we let our hands rest for a few days before we start on the next batch.

This amazing set of BMX wheels was our morning build.
20" 48h carbon rims built with a snowflake pattern.
Oh they were a pain to build but they look so amazing and are going to really set off the show bike they are going on!
I am glad we decided to go down this route with them.

Wow that was an epic build. 160 wheels hand build in 9 days, we now have an empty workshop to tidy and clear out all the backlog of other jobs before we close for a week at the end of this week.

Thanks for getting my order out so quickly. That was a massive help so we can complete the next order that has just come in.
24 boxes at 297kg is a lot of spokes!

It's holiday time 🎉

We have got to that time of the year again when we close for a week.

We are planning on taking the last week of August off. So that will mean that all the orders and emails from the 26th onwards will be processed when we are back on the 4th September.

I was thinking that we had seen it all.
But no, with a big race that is happening this weekend in the UK it seems another F1 company may have found a very cool use for some of our 70mm straight pull spokes with some 10mm inverted polyax ni***es.
Let's see what this new company can do with them..

So at the end of last month I added some counters to our two Phil Woods spoke cutters. Just to try and get an idea of what's going on and see how hard they are working.

It turns out the oldest one from 2004 is still turning out roughly 8400 and the baby of the two from 2019 is doing 10173.
This feels like an average month and we still have 17 wheels left to build + some big spoke orders to finish off before the end of the month.

So taking that over the year, that is just under a whopping 1/4 million spokes they are cutting 🤯
That's on top of the 5700 ebike wheels we build which need a massive 200'000+ spokes that come in pre-cut...

No wonder we are tired and need a holiday 🏞️

Another amazing set of wheels rolling out of the workshop yesterday.
This is a set of H+Son The Hydra rims on a set of the new Hope Pro5 hubs with a set of Sapim Laser spokes. I can't wait to see what tracks these are going to be making over the next few years.

It is lovely to see wheels that we have built finally in there final resting place.
We custom built an amazing set of NOS Dura Ace 7700 hubs onto a set of very rare blue NOS Ambrosio Excellence Colnago rims with Sapim Laser spokes. All to complete this amazing Colnago Carbitubo racing bike.
It's lovely to be able to help bring these amazing bikes back onto the open road.

The last set of wheels of the day where amazing fun to build.
A set of Zipp 303 firecrest carbon rims on a set of Tune Princess CL built with a set of CX Ray straight pull spokes. With valves and tubeless tape they are coming in at 1320g.
