Brewing up a storm in the heart of Yorkshire since 1992. Our 30 barrel brew plant is capable of producing 180 barrels per week using 6 open fermenters.
Established in 1992 the brewery is situated at the heart of Yorkshire in the vale of York. 6 regular beers are produced and 3 specials each month. The full infusion mash system uses only whole malted barleys. As well as 6 regular beers, 3 seasonal ales are brewed every month based on a Viking theme, using closely guarded recipes. The brewer's choice range makes up the other two seasonals - generally paler beers using hops rather than malts for flavour and character.

MD Craig was representing Rudgate's Hop on Board recently at London North Eastern Railway onboard tasting event at Newcastle Station and he got to share our Golden Ale with the one and only Dame Prue Leith🤯.
Prue has been working with LNER to help redefine perceptions of train dining and encouraging us Brits to explore new tastes. Free samples were enjoyed by all and it was great to show off Hop on Board!🍺

With Mythicale, we have packed in the last kick of summer’s tropical fruits and backed them up with the introduction of those subtle spiced autumnal notes. This beer is as golden as the harvest moon and squeezes in a lot of flavour for a modest 4.3%.

🔁 With York Beer & Cider Festival celebrating 50 years of their festival we thought we'd throw it back with some pics from Rudgate festival appearances back in the day!
MD Craig hasn't changed too much (still often found smiling around beer!) and Vikings still make an appearance, of course!🪓 Just refreshed pump clips and hopefully even better beer than ever nowadays.

We of course had to get ourselves down to the trade session today as the 50th York Beer & Cider Festival kicks off! A lovely venue full of many, many, many 😅, delicious local beers including two of our own ready for everyone to try.
