I know December has begun but if you want to make your own advent calendar pop over to my website and check out the How to make... page.
No. 14 is the Upcycled Advent Calendar. You can make this using old magazines or catalogues. I've stitched mine and made some stitched cord but you can staple them together or use some colourful washi tape instead and use any string or cord that you already have.

New bags! Come join us at Sheriff Hutton village market today. There are lots of lovely local products like my new bags. This unwanted fabric was purchased from a fellow trader who had been given the wrong fabric. I’ve tried washing a sample and it washed very well 🧺😊
It's been a while since I made a Yan cushion, it was nice to make another one. This cushion is 100% wool, even the filler!
Yan's body, hat and bobble are all genuine herdwick wool.
She takes quite a long time to make as I have to felt her body and then needle felt it to the fabric so she doesn't lose her shaggy sheep look that Herdwicks are famous for. Then I have knit her hat and make her bobble (that's the fun part).
She will be in pride of place at the Yorkraft craft fair in Helmsley Town Hall this weekend. Price £80.
All set for Hovingham Village Market and the rain has eased off!
Some of my customers have asked me to put straps on some of my cosmetic bags so here is one of two British wool cosmetic bags with a lovely removable gold chain strap. Hope you like them! This weekend I am at Helmsley Town hall with Yorkraft - good to be back again!
