One can never pour from an empty cup. Whatever you have in the cup is what you give out.

So it is with us as human, the Bible tells us in Matthew 12:34 that for whatever is in our hearts determines what we say.

If you are full of pain, you speak painful words to other, if your heart is full is hatred, you spread hate, if you heart is jealous, you act jealously towards others but if your heart is filled with love, peace, joy, good works, and all the positivity, you breed and spread love, peace, joy and the other

I pray we all have a heart and and attitude of positivity to share with others

God bless us all

Somethings are difficult yes but that should not stop us from getting it done.

Yes you can if only you believe in yourself. The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9 ““But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.”

Now ask yourself, what else can stop you?

KISS OF LIFE

In 1968, the author received the Pulitzer Prize for this photograph - one of the most prestigious awards in the United States, which is awarded for achievements in music, cinema, theater and journalism.

The picture shows two electricians, Randall Champion and Jay Thompson, hanging from a power pole. That day there was a strong heat and nothing foreshadowed trouble. The hum of air conditioners in July 1967 was heard throughout the state of Florida. Because of them, in the city of Jacksonville, there was an overload of power lines, and this caused a power surge.

Randall and Jay were doing routine maintenance on a live line when Randall accidentally touched one of the wires. A discharge of 4000 V passed through the body and his heart stopped. For understanding: during the ex*****on in the electric chair, a voltage of 2000 V is used

Randall's lifeless body hung from the harness. But his partner Jay did not lose his head, realizing that every second is precious, he began to give him artificial respiration right on the pole. It was very inconvenient, but there was no other way out. In such a situation, it is difficult to conduct a normal resuscitation, but Jay still tried to start his friend's heart until he had a weak pulse.

Only after that he unhooked his partner's insurance and, throwing him over his shoulder, went down to the ground. By the time the rescuers arrived (they were called by professional photographer Rocco Morabito, who happened to be at the scene), Champion was already conscious on the ground.
Not only was he saved, thanks to Thompson, but he lived another 35 years. The electrician died in 2003 at the age of 64.

Thompson is alive today.

From a domestic worker to a Medical Doctor.

Meet - Dr Pamela Phumzile Sithole, she worked part-time as a domestic worker while studying Medicine full-time at the University of Kwazulu-Natal.

She started working as a domestic helper at the age of 14, despite all the challenges and hardships, her perseverance and determination helped turn her life around and at age 24, she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

“Growing up there were a lot of challenges, including our financial circumstances and my parents’ divorce. My mother was left to provide for us and she was unemployed for the longest time. As a result, we had no choice but to rely on my siblings to put me through school from an early age up until high school which put a lot of financial strain on them."

"Despite these challenges, I was determined to live up to my potential and applied myself diligently to my studies."

"Against all odds, I was able to juggle my studies with part-time work over the years having the ability to rise above my circumstances."

“Even though I was a domestic worker, I didn’t shelve my dreams and think that it’s over for me. I continued to work hard and I’m glad that I did, for me it really was just a lesson in humility and it has enabled me to better understand people from different walks of life and be able to relate to each person. I always knew that good things lay ahead for me and it was truly just a matter of time."

"My hard work and commitment to my studies paid off when I received funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme. This helping hand was to prove life changing."

“Never despise humble beginnings but equally, don't let them define where you will be in five or 10 years’ time, with God, everything is possible," said Dr Pamela Phumzile Sithole.

Meet - Prof Praise Matemavi, Zimbabwe's first female Transplant Surgeon.

With an unplanned pregnancy at the age of 18 that threatened to derail her dream of one day becoming a surgeon, she never gave up.

“It was devastating, I became pregnant when I was 18 out of wedlock and ended up getting married."

"I didn’t know how I was going to ever fulfil my dream. It was sad because that was the one time I saw my dad cry. I got married because I thought that it was the best thing to do," Professor Matemavi.

Being involved in an unplanned marriage, Prof Matemavi ended up enduring physical, mental and emotional abuse. She got divorced at the age of 23, with four-year-old and two-year-old children.

As a single mother of two, she worked as a cardiac nurse to put herself through medical school and she was the only woman in her residency class. She fought her way to the top in a male-dominated field despite hearing discouraging comments like, “Girls don’t belong in an operating room,” from some attending physicians.

Against all odds, Prof Praise Matemavi obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michagan State College of Osteopathic Medicine, did her general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital and completed her Multivisceral Transplant Surgery Fellowship at University of Nebraska Medical Centre.

She is currently an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, USA and a published author of 'Passion and Purpose: Black Female Surgeons'.

"My faith in God and my belief in myself kept me going through the difficult times. Giving up on my dream was not an option. There are times when it was hard to even get out of bed but I kept going. One foot in front of the other, one moment at a time, one hour at a time, one day at a time. The storms in life do not last forever, remember that," said Prof Praise Matemavi.
