🏆🏆🏆 Το βραβείο νέου ερευνητή στην θεματική ενότητα "Active and non-motorized travel" παρέλαβε το νεότερο μέλος της ομάδας μας -Eirini Stavropoulou- για την παρουσίαση της εργασία με τίτλο "Αξιολόγηση των μοντέλων πρακτόρων για την προσομοίωση κοινόχρηστων ηλεκτρικών πατινιών σε αστικές περιοχές" (“An evaluation of agent-based models for simulating e-scooter sharing services in urban areas”) στο 6ο συνέδριο για τη Βιώσιμη Αστική Κινητικότητα - CSUM2022. Η εργασία εκπονήθηκε στα πλαίσια του έργου SIM4MTRAN!

🛴🛴🛴 The young researcher award in the thematic section "Active and non-motorized travel" was received by the youngest member of our team for the presentation of the paper entitled "An evaluation of agent models for the simulation of shared electric scooters in urban areas") at the 6th Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility - CSUM2022. The paper was prepared in the framework of the SIM4MTRAN project!

Οι μεγαλύτερες προκλήσεις των σύγχρονων πόλεων παρουσιάζονται από την έλλειψη αποτελεσματικού σχεδιασμού και διαχείρισης βασικών λειτουργιών, όπως η κινητικότητα και η προσβασιμότητα. Παραδόξως, δεν έχει πραγματοποιηθεί σχεδόν καμία έρευνα σε πόλεις που είναι χτισμένες σε επικλινή εδάφη. Σε αυτή τη μελέτη στοχεύουμε στην αντιμετώπιση αυτού του κενού, μέσω της διερεύνησης της αποδοχής μέτρων βιώσιμης κινητικότητας σε αυτές τις περιοχές. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας έδειξαν ότι η αποδοχή κατηγοριών μέτρων εξαρτάται από ένα σύνολο παραγόντων.

The greatest challenges of modern cities are usually the lack of effective planning and management of mobility and accessibility. At the moment, no research and guidelines exist for the implementation of sustainable urban measures in cities or municipalities that are built on a sloping terrain. In this study we aim to address this shortcoming by investigating the acceptance of sustainable mobility measures in such urban areas. The results of the survey showed that the acceptance of a set of measures depends on a several factors.

🛴🛴🛴Το νέο μας έργο SIM4MTRAN🛴🛴🛴 στοχεύει στην αναπτυξη ενός εργαλείου σχεδιασμού νέας γενιάς που θα προσομοιώνει τις αλληλεπιδράσεις των μέσων μεταφοράς και θα αξιολογεί τις επιπτώσεις τους. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, θα εξετάσει την δυναμική σχέση μέταξύ των μέσων μικροκινητικότητας και των άλλων μεταφορικών μέσων και θα παρέχει λύσεις σε τεχνικά, κοινωνικά και διοικητικά προβλήματα. Επίκεντρο του έργου αποτελεί η κατασκευή εργαλείων προσομοίωσης κυκλοφορίας, με σκοπό την μετατρόπη των μεταφορών σε πιο πράσινες και βιώσιμες.

🛴🛴🛴Our new project SIM4MTRAN 🛴🛴🛴aims to develop a new generation design tool that will simulate transport interactions and assess their impact. More specifically it will examine the dynamic relationship between micro-mobility and other means of transport and provide solutions to technical problems. The project aims to contribute to open source agent-based traffic simulation tools, with the aim of improving transportation planning and create a sustainable transport system.

The IP4MaaS Project has just entered its 1st phase of pilot testing, that will take place in Athens. The app that has been developed in the framework of the Project aims to serve as a MaaS app in Athens, providing the user with the capability of planning and booking a complete trip around the city, including Public Transport modes, as well as taxi and bikes sharing.
The Hellenic Institute of Transport is the pilot leader.
To get to know the IP4MaaS Travel Companion, register, use the app as of the 11th of July and evaluate it, completing a dedicated questionnaire at the end of your journey.
Once you have completed the survey, you will be included in the lottery for 10 prepaid cards for free rides using the services provided by OASA.

Τα Μοντέλα Συνολικού Κόστους Ιδιοκτησίας χρησιμοποιούνται για την αξιολόγηση της αποδοτικότητας των μεταφορών, αναφορικά με τις εκπομπές και την ανάλυση του κόστος του κύκλου ζωής του οχήματος. Στην τελευταία μας έρευνα, προσδιορίζεται ένα σύνολο δεικτών για τη δημιουργία του μοντέλου και την αξιολόγηση τριών τεχνολογιών επιβατικών οχημάτων: υβριδικά, ημιαυτόματα και αυτοματοποιημένα (ηλεκτρικά) οχήματα. Τα αποτελέσματα δείχνουν ποιο όχημα είναι πιο ελκυστικό για τους καταναλωτές και διευκολύνουν τη χάραξη πολιτικής στις μεταφορές, μέσω της σύγκρισης των τριών οχημάτων.

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Models are used to assess transport efficiency, emissions and cost-effectiveness of the vehicle life cycle. In our latest research, a set of indicators is identified for the creation of the model and the evaluation of three vehicle technologies for: Hybrid, Semi‑Automated, Automated (electric) Vehicles. The results show which car is more attractive for consumers and facilitate transport policy by comparing the three vehicles.

Electric ferry Ellen sailed 50 nautical miles - 92 kilometers - on a single battery charge! This 92 kilometer trip on single battery charge is the longest planned distance for an 100% electric ferry able to carry both passengers and vehicles anywhere on the globe, so far. Undoubtedly, E-Ferry Ellen has sailed into the history books.
