on • entropy is a marble atelier established in 2009 in Athens and London. NM is an architect with an academic training in design.
The studio's work ranges from product design to installations and interior design projects. Marble, an archetypal Greek material, takes on an unconventional role in on• entropy's designs; they encapsulate the contradiction of being heavy and compact and at the same time vulnerable, fragile and translucent. A Future for the Past is a design- social sustainability project, that aims to raise awareness on the relationship between marble craftsmanship & contemporary design, while creating a “new pride” to existing master craftsmen & sculptors.
Through workshops and questionnaires, we recorded visitors’ perception of traditional craftsmanship, contemporary culture & design and how these relate.
Results have been gripping and details on the social impact of the Future for the Past, Phase II are coming up soon.
We are thankful to everyone who lead up to the success of this Phase II, from sponsors and supporters to all tinian sculptors, team and guest speakers & curators

We are very happy to announce that together with the , we present the exhibition “A Future for the
Past”, launching next Tuesday 4th of June at 7:30pm. It is a show focused on supporting and promoting Tinian Marble Sculpture through Contemporary Design.
For the first time, the marble exhibits of the Museum’s permanent collection will be in dialogue with contemporary creations by Tinian marble sculptors, which will in turn converse with our sculptural design pieces.
The exhibition, running from 5th to 30th of June, is part of a two-year programme, curated by , which explores the social dimension of marble
craftsmanship in Tinos in its dialogue with contemporary culture and which
hopes to show how that relationship can contribute to both social and economic
sustainability.

Revisiting the traditional incense burners found in orthodox churches, Sencer invites the senses by transforming solid marble to a lightweight, translucent, contemporary sculpture.
Moving beyond the sensory experience, with Senser we see design as a vehicle transcending from object to space consciousness.
