The band just came in last night from Athens, Greece. They’re here in the US for a small tour of universities as part of a music and poetry collaboration project, called “Interiors.” As part of the project, they wrote a song using a poem by UWF English professor Jonathan Fink (pictured far left).

«A critical reason for a summer solstice celebration» - Μια ραδιοφωνική συναυλία για το θερινό ηλιοστάσιο.
Η 21η Ιουνίου, η ημέρα του θερινού ηλιοστασίου, θεωρείται ως η ουσιαστική αρχή του καλοκαιριού. Το 1982 ο τότε υπουργός Πολιτισμού της Γαλλίας Ζακ Λάνγκ την καθιέρωσε ως ημέρα εορτασμού της Ευρωπαϊκής Ημέρας Μουσικής.
Συνδυάζοντας αυτή την διττή σημειολογία της 21ης Ιουνίου, ο κριτικός μουσικής Θάνος Μαντζάνας, στην εφετινή θερινή ισημερία παρουσιάζει μια «ραδιοφωνική συναυλία», αποκλειστικά για τους ακροατές και τις ακροάτριες του Τρίτου Προγράμματος.
Δεκατέσσερα ελληνικά συγκροτήματα από τους χώρους της jazz, του rock, του blues, της soul και του funk, της ποπ και της electronica, ηχογράφησαν ζωντανά στο στούντιο της Ελληνικής Ραδιοφωνίας, διασκευές καλοκαιρινών τραγουδιών και instrumentals καθώς και κάποια δικά τους κομμάτια, με θεματολογία που σχετίζεται με την πιο ζεστή εποχή του χρόνου.
Στις τέσσερις εκπομπές , εκ των οποίων σήμερα μεταδίδεται η τρίτη κατά σειρά, συμμετέχουν (με αλφαβητική σειρά) οι Dirty Fuse, Green Was Greener, Lazytrains, Loose Ties, Martzi Feelgood, Miniature Solar System, Pasific Eyes, Pink Vanity, Στέλιος Χατζηκαλέας & Μιχάλης Τσιφτσής Duo, Synth A, StarWound, Τηλέμαχος Μούσας & Νάσια Γκόφα Duo, Tilemachos Moussas Quartet featuring Nassia Gofa και Yeah!
