Τι θαυμάσια περάσαμε μαζί με τα ζευγάρια μιας τοπικής Εκκλησίας. Μελετήσαμε τον Λόγο του Θεού, φάγαμε και κάναμε ιστιοπλοϊα. Δεν υπάρχει πιο συναρπαστική ζωή απ' το να ζεις ως κοινότητα με τον Ιησού στο επίκεντρο!

What an incredible adventure... having couples from a local Church in Athens. We had great times of deep discussion around what God has been speaking to us about. We had great food, sailing and living in community with Jesus at the epicenter! Life doesn't get better than this!

The Broad Reach Maritime team is expanding! More and more people are "embracing" the vision of the Hellenic Ministries maritime branch, which is:

🔵 to spread the Good News to the Greek islands and coasts
🔵 to encourage the isolated believers
🔵 to disciple the next generation

“Our boats are relationship incubators, because they are not only means of transportation but also homes where God-centered relationships are built," explains Broad Reach Maritime Director Alex Macris.

Meet the team:

Alex Macris is the captain of the 52 foot schooner “Morning Star.” He is married to Jo-Ann and they have 4 children. Their desire is to instill in every way possible in their children the joy of serving the Lord as a family.

Cameron Springthorpe was a commercial captain and yacht surveyor, while his wife, Abi, was a Chief Stewardess. Together they had a career in the luxury yachting sector. Today Cameron is the development and networking director of Broad Reach Maritime and lives in the UK.

"Dolphin3" is the boat donated to Robert and Danielle Feddes, for the purpose of joining Broad Reach Maritime. We expect their arrival in Greece in the summer of '24.

Dutchmen Rick and Annemick van Wingerdeen with their sailboat "Jireh" wish to be God's provision to people and are partners in the development of Island Reach.

Belgians Jerry & Ilona Cocquht live in Evia to share the hope of the gospel, serving the vision of Broad Reach Maritime.

Θα θελαμε να σας ενημερώσουμε, πως φέτος απέρριψαν την άδεια για το «Christmas Boat 2023» για τις 15 & 16 Δεκεμβρίου.
Ωστόσο, παρά την απουσία του Morning Star, θα πραγματοποιηθεί ένα Χριστουγεννιάτικο πρόγραμμα και θα δοθεί το μήνυμα της γέννησης του Χριστού. Ελάτε να ευλογήσουμε με την παρουσία μας την Χαλκίδα! Σας περιμένουμε την Παρασκευή 15 Δεκεμβρίου στις 19:30 στη βόρεια προβλήτα της Χαλκίδας.

We would like to inform everyone officially, that our permit to express the birth of Christ through the Christmas Boat outreach has unfortunately been denied. No explanation of why, was given. However, we believe God has desired for us to share the same hope of His birth through a different way this year. We will only be having a program Friday the 15th of December at 1930 on the north boardwalk of Halkida. Come and join us as we will have a singing team, testimonies and an opportunity to engage with people. It will be a great time! Excited to see what God will do even though Morning Star will be absent as a platform to use this year.

Μπαίνοντας στον Δεκέμβρη, ήταν μεγάλη μας χαρά που είχαμε μαζί μας φοιτητές από το Ελληνικό Βιβλικό Κολλέγιο οι οποίοι ήρθαν για μια εβδομάδα εκπαίδευσης και προσανατολισμού/ενημέρωσης στα πλοία μας. Αυτοί οι φοιτητές έχουν διαλέξει να κάνουν την πρακτική τους στην διακονία με την Broad Reach. Ο στόχος ήταν να τους εκπαιδεύσουμε στο να βοηθούν ως ικανά μέλη του πληρώματος, καθώς ετοιμαζόμαστε να φιλοξενήσουμε ομάδες στα πλοία κατά την διάρκεια όλης της επόμενης χρονιάς. Η πρώτη φάση της εκπαίδευσης περιλάμβανε το να γνωρίσουν τα συστήματα στο πλοίο, πλοήγηση, καθώς και την νοοτροπία μας ως προς τον τρόπο διακονίας αυτών που φιλοξενούμε πάνω στο πλοίο.
Επίσης, σε όλους τους εθελοντές δίδεται καθοδήγηση στην Χριστιανική τους πορεία καθώς παρέχουμε διδασκαλία για την Χριστιανική ζωή έχοντας σαν σταθερό και ακλόνητο οδηγό μας τον λόγο του Θεού.

As we entered into December, it was a joy to have students from the Greek Bible College come for an orientation and training weekend aboard both our vessels. These students have chosen to serve their christian service with Broad Reach. The goal was to train them in helping as competent crew, as we prepare to host teams aboard, throughout the upcoming year. The first phase of training involved - getting to know systems on board, navigation and our ethos on how to serve those we host on board. All volunteers are also mentored in their Christian walk as we provide Christian life coaching based on the Word of God being our solid guide. Please pray as we prepare for our upcoming Christmas Boat event 15 & 16 December 2023.

Island Reach Partnership

You will likely have already met, or at least heard of Rick and Annemiek, they have been sailing their yacht Jireh in Greece over the last few years, fulfilling the vision of Island Reach, connecting and supporting remote believers and praying for specific areas.

We have loved seeing their hearts for the region and the Greek people, so today we are thrilled to announce that we have signed an agreement with them to support Broad Reach Maritime in developing the vision of Island Reach further.

Broad Reach Maritime are now looking for a skipper and crew for the Schooner Encounter, to join their volunteer team in Greece, please spread the word!:: Skipper and Crew needed ::..
Initially to help complete a refit, (which is already well underway) then to establish operating procedures, help train crew and create the right atmosphere on board, before taking teams of up to 12 people, for Christian ministry trips throughout the Greek islands.
The skipper must have experience in operating and maintaining large sailing vessels, (ideally traditional ones) along with their Comm. YachtMaster Offshore as a minimum.
Other crew positions include, Mate, Bosun and Cook.
(Married couples welcome, depending on experience.)
All candidates must have relevant experience in their area.

Ήταν προνόμιο να έχουμε άτομα από την Ελληνική Ευαγγελική Εκκλησία Γλυφάδας, στις 24-25 Νοεμβρίου. Ήταν πολύ ενθαρρυντικό να έχουμε πιστούς ανθρώπους που διψούν για το Λόγο του Θεού. Μάθαμε πολλά για την προσευχή μέσα από την διδασκαλία που εγινε στο σκάφος.
Ήταν πραγματικά μια ευλογημένη εμπειρία και χαίρομαι να βλέπω το δεύτερο μας σκάφος Encounter να γίνεται ευλογία στην οικογένεια του Θεού.

It was such a blessing to host a team from the Evangelical Church of Glifada, Athens. What a blessing to see believers thirsty for His word.
A wonderful teaching on prayer took place aboard the Encounter. I am so grateful to see our 2nd vessel beginning to be used to bless the family of believers.

Καθώς επισκεφθηκαμε πιστούς που είχαν ανάγκη και την τοπική εκκλησία του νησιού, οι καρδιές μας ξεχείλισαν με χαρά. Επιστρέψαμε στο Πόρτο Αστρο, κατενθουσιασμένοι για το πόσο ο Θεός μας ευλόγησε.

After a bit of a rough start we ended with smooth sailing.
