The first day was dedicated to discussions on joint programs, which are vital to our activities in the second phase of our project funding. These programs are at the heart of our strategy to foster academic excellence and integration across Europe.

🇪🇺 Collaboration in Action:
The work package for the second phase, coordinated by the University of Córdoba, Spain, focuses on crafting a new model for training and development. This innovative approach aims to create joint programs that culminate in a single European diploma.

📈 Building on Success:
Building on the successes of the first phase, which introduced 10 bachelor's specializations and 5 master's programs, we are now expanding to develop new bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. These programs are designed to meet the urgent demand for skills in sustainable regional development.

The University of Cordoba (UCO), a new partner of the INVEST European alliance, is hosting the first two students from the Slovak University of Agriculture. These students, will not only become familiar with UCO’s different centers and services but also contribute their expertise in decentralized management systems across various EU countries.

On May 31, 2024, Van Hall Larenstein, University of Applied Sciences and Karelia-ammattikorkeakoulu came together for an inspiring workshop focused on developing virtual Living Labs. This collaborative event brought together staff members, students, and regional stakeholders in Eastern Finland.
We explored the innovative potential of e-learning and serious gaming using the Peatland.eu Living Lab prototype. This engaging session demonstrated how these tools can drive creative solutions for both local and global challenges.
Our journey didn't end there! We embarked on an insightful field trip to the picturesque swamps and peatlands of Ilomantsi. Our VHL colleagues experienced firsthand the unique features of Finnish rural areas, including restored peatlands and mires in their natural state.
It was an unforgettable experience filled with learning, collaboration, and a deeper appreciation for Finland's natural beauty. 🌿

This visionary initiative involves universities from across the EU and is set to transform European higher education. 🇪🇺

Key Highlights of his speech:
- 𝑅𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝐴𝑐𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑠 𝐸𝑈: The diploma will be recognized in all EU member states, tailored to meet the needs of the modern economy and job market.
- 𝐸𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑈𝑛𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝐴𝑙𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑠: Built on extensive collaborations and alliances among EU universities, currently involving 60 European Alliances with 500 higher education institutions.
- 𝑇𝑤𝑜 𝑀𝑜𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑠: Universities can choose from two options: a "European Diploma label" for common degrees that meet set European standards, or a fully joint degree issued collaboratively by multiple universities.
