The white cotton jersey ‘Zeus’ tee is the ultimate minimalist staple. Tuck it into high-waisted jeans for a sleek 9-to-5 look, or throw it on with relaxed linen Bermudas and sandals for easygoing days. Dress it up with a tailored midi skirt for a refined after-dark style, or layer it for extra versatility. Heading to the beach? Pair it with the upcycled ‘Kymothoe’ tote bag.

The history of the Olympic Games is incredibly rich and spans millennia. The first recorded Games date back to 776 BC, when the Greeks began measuring time in Olympiads, the four-year intervals between each edition, held in honour of Zeus. The modern era began in April 1896 in Athens, with Paris hosting the second Games in 1900, where women competed for the first time. Paris hosted the Games again in 1924, introducing the first Olympic Village. This year, 2024, marks the third time the City of Light hosts this spectacular international multi-sport event . Best of luck to Team Greece!

My father was introduced to the craft when he became an orphan, at the age of nine. He gradually got into producing fabric. He went on a trip to Japan, and when he got back, he told me ‘Come over, and we’ll stop using other threads. We’ll be using just silk’. ” -

In mythology, anemones sprang from where Aphrodite wept over Adonis, who lay dying from a boar wound. In Shakespeare’s poem, Venus, heartbroken, cursed love to be entwined with sorrow and deceit: “That all love’s pleasure shall not match [its] woe.” Adonis’ body “melted like a vapour,” leaving blood-red flowers. Variations of the myth say anemones turned red from his blood.

I remember it was October. Around 11.30 or 12.00 a.m. The girls come in and say ‘We are two women. I am Dimitra Kolotoura, and this is Mareva Grabowski. We are going to make shirts and dresses.’ I was taken aback, to begin with. Making dresses and clothes with silk from Soufli?” -

“I always return to Syros. There I recharge my batteries, relax, and find inspiration. There, I make crucial decisions, reflect, and organize my thoughts. I have been deeply influenced by the island’s culture; therefore, the themes for our collections, curated by our creative director Marios Schwab and inspired by Rebetiko and the menswear of the ‘40s and ‘50s, speak to my DNA.”

The flagstones, large and solid, crisscross the pavements, forming the arteries of each Cycladic village. Every week, they are whitewashed with a fresh coat of paint, creating crisp boundaries against the rustic stone backdrop. By night, these borders serve as luminous guides under the moonlit sky and the subtle glow of street lamps.

Crete, the mythological birthplace of Zeus and Greece’s largest island, hosts Agios Pavlos, a remote fishing village. In the homeland of Perseus, ancient ruins lie beneath every stone. Legend has it that Argos, with its 7,000-year history, was named after Argus Panoptes, the hundred-eyed giant in Greek mythology. Hera immortalized his eyes in a peacock’s tail. Homer described Argos as sacred to Hera, and a sanctuary dedicated to her was later built about 10 km from the city.

Take an insider’s peek into workshop in Argos: Aristides Tzonevrakis is dedicated to crafting traditional Greek garments while preserving their intricate craftsmanship. His specialty lies in embroidery, with a focus on the technique of “terzidiko,” which involves intricate embroidery with cord appliqué.

“In 2013, Greece was in the grip of a severe economic crisis, and I faced a difficult decision: without a new opportunity, I would have to close my workshop in Argos. But everything changed when Zeus+Δione first visited me.
Their enthusiasm was palpable, and I saw a chance. Before I had even fully processed it, they called and offered me my first assignment: a shirt-coat with Astypalaia-inspired wide sleeves and pleated shoulders, which became the centerpiece of Z+Δ’s collection.
Working together, I realized we were integral to the brand’s philosophy. This opportunity felt like a blessing, as we became part of a rising success story, knowing our contributions were essential to Z+Δ’s achievements.” Βy Aris Tzonevrakis
