A bit of sketchbook colour fun! I can paint the beach any day all day! I’m inspired to do a few big beach scenes again soon- once it cools down a bit and I can breathe.

In a land where the sea kisses butterfly wings,
Lived a girl who adored nature and all its wild things.
She danced with the daisies, hugged towering trees,
And sang to the crabs as they scuttled the seas.

She’d chase fluttering friends in a neon pink net,
A gift from her dad she could never forget.
Her room was a jungle, a butterfly zoo,
With creatures in drawers and some in her shoe!

One day by the ocean, she met a wise crab,
Who asked her quite plainly, “Why do you blab?
You sing to us daily, you chase all the wings,
Yet miss the big picture of how nature sings.”

She laughed and replied, “Oh dear crab, don’t you see?
I’m simply a fan of all things wild and free!
The butterflies, flowers, the fish in the sea,
Each quirky adventure is so perfect to me.”

So the girl and the crab became quite a pair,
He’d pinch at the sand while she twirled in the air.
With butterflies fluttering, and waves by her side,
She cherished each moment, with nature as guide.

So here’s to the girl with her net and her dreams,
Who finds magic in nature and laughs at sea beams.
Her quirky adventures bring joy and delight,
In the land where the sea and the butterflies unite.

Reading a wonderful book in artbook club and this weeks task was bringing the outdoors in. So many sea bits collected over the years by my children and I, that it was only apt to use them in today’s art! You know me and butterflies so married the two together!

My daughter yesterday said, after asking her what do you think of my new painting? She replied nahh I don’t really like those colours cause they’re too bright and won’t go in any home! Well, yes I paint with colour, bright colours and one would imagine they don’t fit in in any monochromatic or neutral palette… oh but they do and that’s why I’m showing you these pics, don’t be fooled by bright pops of colour, you will bring a wave of joy and happiness on your walls for sure! Goal, achieved!!!👍🏻🌈 ‘Summer aperitif all year round’. 70x50cm. Available.

Portrait collages are definitely designed to freak your nerves out! The more I persevered though I kept telling myself don’t let it beat you, you can do this! It’s not a great piece but it’s complete and I learnt a thing or two! Thanks because I wouldn’t have pushed myself if it weren’t for our bookclub!

So I’m reading a book about liver health, and there’s no coffee before 12am! Apparently your liver is detoxing and doing its magic from roughly 4am right till midday. As soon as you consume or eat, that process stops. Did you know that!? Plus no oil or protein as it has fat content in it too. Break your fast with fruit especially apples and only lemon water when you get up.🍎 Wish me luck as I embark on loving my liver right now😬🙄 So what’s this got to do with art? Lol, not much but this tin can was all about coffee, coffee that I’m gonna have to stop soon and I’m dreading the thought!

Who doesn’t love a spoon of dipped condensed milk!?! Art friends, if florals are you jam and collage your thing then you need to check out new course! I’m having a ball so far.

I’m sharing this to tell you a little story that happened to me today. Some ‘sweet’ lady reached out to me and asked me if two paintings were for sale, I asked her where she found me because she was a stranger and she said a friend told her to check out art pages on Facebook. She proceeded to ask my PayPal address to send me the funds. I got an email saying that they had to put extra funds in my account to make the payment because my account is not a business account. Well automatically I started to google! I found person who had gone through the same, that was all I needed to be able to block and report her. I even phoned PayPal but they are closed on a Sunday. Art friends do be careful out there honestly they are evolving quicker than any thing! Always a new scam…

Some days just call out for digital art!! And this berry beautiful floral was the outcome🍉🍒🍓🍐 Digital downloads are available 😉.

What a fantastic day! I had the best time with a from the ! and I became art buddies, encouraging art and creativity, purchasing each others beautiful creations and now we got to meet! Thank you so much for taking time out of your vacation and your beautiful artworks. I will treasure them always! This wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for our incredible art mentor and teacher , you’ve created a family for us all❤️
